Unhappy Door Lock Actuator Repair FAIL - HELP!

Tried with my friend last night to replace the driver's door actuator motor in a 2014 Runner. All went fine, but I let my friend reinstall the actuator into the door - here's where the problem starts.

I wasn't watching...IDIOT!

Now, the door won't open - neither the inside or outside handles work.

I have pried the top of the interior door panel back some and can see and feel somewhat inside the door.

The actuator assembly feels loose inside the door.

Any idea how I can manually release the door latch so I can open the door?

A thousand thank yous in advance for any help.

BTW - this is my wife's vehicle...so it's slightly more urgent than normal...

Please let me know what additional information would be helpful here.

***MORE INFO***

I removed the cable from the front part of the door and can manually lock and unlock by pushing the cable in or out.
I can operate the lever that the outside handle lever operates with no luck.
The entire assembly moves around - doesn't appear that the three bolts were tightened?

This part is now no longer in the door...Is there something I can do with the remaining part of the actuator that is secured to the inside of the door to release the locking mechanism?

What happens when you use a screwdriver or something to open the latch, it should move freely with the handle removed
