I hope the humidity and heat where you live doesn't affect it long-term. :op

Well I attempted to put the snorkel on today I started at 2pm and stopped at 7pm. The template lined up with everything and after I drilled all the holes nothing lined up just the main big hole. I reamed some of the holes out and got the front 3 to sort of fit the threads dont really go past the fender. the back 3 that are near the A arm are no where close to the the holes. I checked 3 times before actually drilling and now I feel like crap knowing I have ruined my fender. I am going to try tomorrow to see how bad they are off and I might try to drill by eye. that is what makes me nervous, once I get it lined up i will hit up the parts store anf buy some fiberglass or bidy filler and try to salvage and patch the holes I don't need. I will say I will not be drilling into the A arm for sure. I had a bad feeling when I started but felt good after the 3rd time making sire everything lined up. I will say this after the roof rack, front bumper and winch show up I am not doing anything else to it. I give up. I This thing has been nothing but problems since we got it and everytime I did domething to it it felt good to know I was doing the work but now I have a 4runer with 6 holes and only 3 line up and it will turn into 9 holes because the template and snorkel body don't match when on the 4Runner.

I'm sorry to hear of your frustration of installing the snorkel on your truck. Hopefully you get it fitted properly after drilling out the additional 3 holes to make everything line up. Best of luck!

There's one step in the instructions to verify the template against the snorkel. To do that, you would cut out the large hole in the template, install the studs loosely into the snorkel body, then put the template against the snorkel and see where the studs are in relation to the template, then you'll see if any of them are off.
Not to sound like a jerk, but your fender will have a lot of holes in it with a snorkel on it no matter if the holes were drilled right or not, and the 3 in the rear will most likely still be covered up by the snorkel body. Just be sure to use some paint to protect the holes that you cut to stop rust from forming.
The small holes are all to be drilled out to 16mm (5/8") too, which is a common step that people seem to miss.

Update, It's on and it's not going anywhere. I need to do the 3M tape for the A Arm bracket ,and I'll be done. But for today it's on and everything is good to go. I will try to do the VHB tape tomorrow. I am waiting on surgery on my shoulder so I am usually good for a few hours. One thing I didn't understand is why plug the drain hole. I bet water gets in there from driving in the rain. I am trying to find a screen that will not let water in there but the air pass through.
Fitment is great, the one stud was a killer, it was really windy yesterday so something was whistling but I am unsure if it was the snorkel or the mirrors.

Has anyone changed the snorkel head, I am worried about water with the rain and since I sealed the air box off I don't need water in my engine.

Just turn your head around so it is facing rear ward. Even with it facing forward, I would doubt any rain would make it down all the pipping to the air box.

I also wonder why it is recommended to plug the drain hole. I didn’t plug mine.

No issues with it not plugged? Maybe I will undo it when I have both arms back.

My snorkel is a recent addition (2 weeks today!), so I don’t have anything to report yet.

I might un plug it then, we get a ton of rain here, and I plugged it, unless I can find a different head.

No, but they are due back in stock in the next week or 2. You can place a backorder on my website for it to ship as soon as they arrive.
