There's quite a few HAM / CB threads if you search. Lots of mounting ideas although there's really no "good" place to mount a full size radio up front.

I have a Icom remote head installed with a partially home made RAM mount to the top of the console (control unit under passenger seat); antenna an NMO trunk lip mount on the driver's side of the hood. This pic also shows most of my other interior mods (in the front) - a Federal map light, and Ellis shift knob.

I also have a constant 12V outlet which is great for charging phones and such while the truck is off:

Note to the Maglight clip mount peeps, if you mount the flashlight bezel down you save the lens from getting scratched up:

I got other stuff in the rear but it's kind of a niche market - sleeping platform, shotgun mount, ceiling net. Pics are in my Smugmug folder linked below under "2017 4Runner modifications".

Thank you. I’m toying with the idea of keeping a shotgun in my car.

What situation could you possibly be in where getting out of your car, opening your trunk, and getting a shotgun, is a better choice than just driving away?

Hacked the front and rear cubby holes to be a wee bit more functional.
