I just used paint to color fill it. Take about ten minutes. I do most my pistols the same way.

Right... which is what I was getting at. If you cannot get to your drivers seat, or are being mauled/attacked, why are you going to be able to open your trunk and unhinge your shotgun?
I think it's kinda tacticool, but definitely not for me. And, I say that as a CCW/hunter/gun owner.

Thermoplastic, heated and bent into clam shape around the bar there. The other side to which tools attached flat and secured with 2 small bolts and nuts. No drilling. All completely reversible.

Alpine Halo9
I thought some might want to see the 9 inch Alpine floating unit. I had trouble finding more than one or two pics before I purchased. It doesn’t really cover the vents as much as it looks in the picture. I’ve had a few people ask me if it just came standard with the car since it doesn’t look “after-market”

That looks awesome! I wish that was around when I swapped my head unit for a pioneer. I would have gone this direction instead.
Congrats!

Could you post some pics of that from the side, basically from the worst angles, so we can see what's going on there exactly? Looks really cool!

It's a place to carry/ store it.
By your logic the flashlight or fire extinguishers mounted in the back also serve no purpose then, because what if it gets dark or a fire erupts and you are away from the hatch and can't access those implements?
It also is a kickass clothing rack!
And, when camping in the back, as previously mentioned, it IS easily and rapidly accessible, way more so than crawling over the front seats and trying to drive away:

I don't disagree about the location when camping in the back. In fact I think that's an absolutely great use case for the mount and location.
Continuing with my logic: flashlights mounted in the back... Don't really think that's a huge ordeal. Car has interior lights. And if for some reason they are all totally dead, it's probably not a life or death situation when you have fumble around to find it. The extinguisher on the other hand...while absolutely better than nothing, I do think the way Lawndart and other have theirs mounted under the front seats is worlds better than being in the trunk. And, if I were to mount one, that's how I would do so.

Did you mount the compressor in the rear or just run airline back there? If the compressor is there, what size wire runs back from the battery?
Thanks
