2019 Super White , single stage coat still?
Anyone have details on the 2019's super white? Put a deposit down on a new 2019 , but I need to decide on color. Live in the westcoast, rain, mud dirt snow.
Is the super white still only single stage coat or have they changed it? I still find it so odd in the past it was not clear coat.

Yes. Many manufacturers have turned to single stage for white.

In single stage paint process, the clear coat is mixed with the base coat. Multi stage paint process the last coat is just clear coat and generally offers more protection to the paint. Single stage paint is also thinner and more susceptible to rock chips. Polishing and compounding, if needed, should be done very carefully to not take away more material than necessary. A good wax and sealant should be used more frequently to protect the paint. If you have the money get clear wrap.

I have a white 2018 ORP.
I use Wolfgang Deep Gloss 3.0 paint sealant. Lasts about six months. The best I have used so far. I was a Rejex man for many years but the Wolfgang is my go to sealant.

I wax my car once a year if I'm lucky at best, and give it a wash once a month . I better stick with the clear coat based on my habits then. It's a shame the white doesn't come with a clear coat finish.

I have buffed a lot of cars and trucks factory painted white. Never has my buffer had white on it when finished. I haven't needed to on mine yet but I let you know when I do what happens.
That being said, if the vehicle has been wrecked, the cheaper way to paint it is with single stage.

It's not that it doesn't come with a clear coat, it's the clear coat is mixed with the base coat and applied in one stage.

So wait, are there 4Runner colors that come with 2 stage paint?
My super white is a freaking rock chip magnet.

They all are. My 2012 MGM is chipped on the leading edge of the hood.
