A couple questions:

for those that have installed their rack. What kind of silicon did you use at the factory holes?

Is there a place I should be a able to find those sliding T-nuts locally? Amazon won't have them to me until mid-december to mid-january.
PM us your address, we'll send you some T nuts

I can say the roof rack makes the vehicle look like an SUV again. Was rackless for awhile, and while I enjoyed the look, LFD made a flawless rack IMO. Build quality is second to none as is their design. I'm pretty OCD about my vehicle and what goes on it, but this rack was a no brainer.

Quick question on the wind fairing..
On one picture on the website, (3/4 rack specifically) it appears as though the fairing is integrated into one of the cross bars, as opposed to the individual fairing which has to be bolted on an existing cross bar.
Is that complete piece available for sale? Or has it just been upgraded to the 2 piece setup?

I currently have 2 bars, and was contemplating adding the side rails and 1 or 2 more bars and a fairing.. or just one more bar and a fairing to reduce noise.

Related... a while back it was mentioned that there may be specific item Black friday codes released as opposed to the flat 15%, any update on that?

The side rails are coming with that integrated wind faring crossbar included for free through the end of this year. So if you order side rails through Dec 31st it'll get included automatically.

We haven't released any additional sales, yet... ;) Aiming for the next one later today hopefully if we get everything set up on the website.

Just to clarify, if you purchase the $199 3/4 side rails only, it comes with the front fairing bar for free? Or only if you buy the full rack kit?

Along those lines, is it fair to assume that you would recommend a rear bar as well for stabilization if I were going to run 2 towards the middle for a ski box? So min. 4 bars? (1 being fairing)

Then from previous reading, the rack is generally 5" tall?
(I have to worry about height restrictions.. my parkade is 6'6, and I have a 20 Pro with taller larger tires and a 1" lift on the way. I already had to remove the stock Pro rack)

If I just stayed with the bars, is that complete fairing bar available to purchase? Or just individually? (bar and fairing)

Sounds like its a good idea to wait it out at this point!

I'll admit, I was a bit surprised when I got my 3/4 and saw the integrated wind fairing. I had assumed it was separate.

It's a few more minutes for an old fat guy to get it together but it is solid as a rock and no noise. Happy it is the way it came. Needs the larger decal though...

;-)

Yes, the front faring crossbar is included for free through the end of the year with side rail purchase. That's been our on-going special for this year.

We've seen racks run with as little as three crossbars. Generally speaking you want one crossbar at the front, one at the rear, and at least one in the middle.

The racks add around 5.5" of height at the rear.

The integrated faring crossbars will be listed for purchase separately starting next year.

sliders!

Sliders! They're live on our site, and ready to order! LFD Off Road - Sliders

Details:

One piece laser cut back plate constructed of 1/4" steel, with 11 or 12 bolt points depending on the side. Grade 10.9 bolts directly to threads in the frame for a simple installation.

Tubing is entirely 1.75" diameter .185" thick wall DOM round tube. 😲

Fully welded, closed construction with gussets at the back plate connection.

With the .185" walled tubing, these exhibit very minimal flex under load. We field tested the sliders with hi-lifts, and also bashed them *HARD* on rocks. Repeatedly 😀

We've had other brand sliders on our vehicles from before we started this company, and we've beat them up well over the years. I've never seen a set of sliders have as little deflection as ours when under a load. I'm seriously impressed with these.

MSRP for flat or angled sliders is $849.99, with options for kickouts and filler plates coming after the initial batches ship.

If you made it this far, then here's what you've been waiting for: Black Friday release special, $150 off using code "sliders" through Dec 1st. Shipping is also a flat rate $75 until we launch our new website towards the end of the year.

We've got some sets already going through production, so the first orders will ship very soon!

*We have not tried these with a KDSS 4Runner yet

hmm, nope, you didn't miss it, I forgot about KDSS momentarily when typing that out.

We haven't had a KDSS come by in a while, so we're not sure at the moment. We'll need to take a closer look at one to make sure there's no interference.

After reading awesome reviews and watching you tube video on your 7/8 roof rack. I like what I see and install looks easy. It also looks much better than the 2020 Pro rack. I’m going to give it some time with the Pro rack because it will take a couple of weeks to get one on your build time. But this looks to be the rack I will be installing if I pull my oem Pro rack off.
