What are the dimensions of the mounting plate? I could not find that information on your website.

Just looking at the dimensions...
Viair 450C
10.5"L x 3.94"W x 6.87"H
ARB Single (CKMA12)
7.5"L x 3.9"W x 5.7"H
The Viair's mounting pattern is 8.375" x 3.31"
The ARB's mounting pattern is 2.76" x 2.2"
Based on their photos, you would need to create some sort of adapter bracket to bolt the Viair to, and then bolt that to the mount. It looks like there may be another 3" in the longitudinal orientation, and there may also be enough if you mount it transversely, but again you would still need the interfacing bracket. Depending on how you do the adapter, the extra 1.17" in height may start to become a factor with hood clearance
|
Thank you for the info; that helps somewhat. If the plate is big enough I would just drill new holes.

Based on this, it appears a 450 might be too large for this compressor plate. Also, where did you find that rubber cover for the male air hose connection?

The mounting plate itself is 11.4" by 4.1".

that cover came with my 300 as it was originally a portable version with the handle. I removed the handle when I modified it.

no drilling, yes silicone to make the mounting points water proof!

Hmm mine is originally a portable too. I’ll have to look around in the bag for one then. Thanks!

So my 450p appears to have not come with that little rubber cover for the male end BUT I found that a normal schrader valve cap fits snugly over the end. I'm pretty sure a rubber 5/16" vacuum cap would fit over it perfectly as well. I was able to fit a 1/4" one by expanding it a bit and I fit a 3/8" one by pushing it further over the collar on the male connector.

Also, I purchased the LFD air compressor mount and plan to try to fit the 450 on it. Based on the dimensions of the plate and the 450 mount points I think it will fit...barely. I plan to drill new holes if needed (probably). I will let everyone here know how it goes!

I have a question about the rear bumper. What are the 2 little cut outs for that are near the shackle mounts, are they for lights? If so what size?
