What can I say? ...I'm a fan of great products.
Besides, my SSO sliders are great (I got them back 3 years ago), but I'm that guy - the one that wishes everything on his truck was from one place... That place just happens to be LFD Off Road.
...but I am saving up for the compressor mount first. I have got to get my compressor out of my storage area.

I don't plan on serious, hard core rock climbing at this time, but do what a fully capable, protected vehicle capable of handing the moderate off road stuff on the trails of western North Carolina and to know the protection there for the few times I get into the serious rough stuff. I also want sliders for easy step access to the roof.
Thanks

Basically adding a cheaper option. .120 is basically standard for sliders for the most part. They'll handle everything, but when you have the entire weight of one side of the vehicle on them, they will flex a lot more than the .185. The .185 is basically the heavy duty option, and has practically no flex while under load.
Our recommendation is if you're planning on lots of rock crawling and/or lots of hi-lift use with the sliders, its worth it to get the .185. If you're not planning on rock crawling often, and want them more for "just in case" protection or occasional hi-lift use, .120 is the way to go.
Reading what you're looking for in your question, you'd be fine with .120. We've been all over western NC, north Georgia, etc for years (long before we even started this company) with only .120 wall sliders.

Installed the 3/4 rack last night and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I was a little paranoid about installing an aftermarket rack but with some research and suggestions from other members I feel pretty confident that everything is sealed up and done properly.

Just went to lfd's website to order a hi lift mount, $27.50 to ship just that? So i added two steel ruggedized cross bars to the cart....shipping stays at $27.50?
Why is the shipping for the hi lift mount $27.50? That makes the $70 mount $97.50 shipped.

Skid Plate directions/hardware?
Anyone know if there directions/parts list to download for skid plate installation?
I received Gas Tank Skid & Transfer Case Skid, but what seems to be a mixed bag for hardware
- (6) 50mm bolts
- (4) 30mm bolts
- (12) washers
- (2) nylon spacers
- (3) heavier 25mm bolts/nuts/washers (assume for gas tank bracket)
- only directions for front skid
Thinking I might have the right hardware and wrong directions?
Still waiting for Wide Front Skid & Transmission Skid.

We're currently using flat rate shipping on the site because it can't calculate shipping costs. Our new site we're working on will have calculated shipping.
The hi-lift by itself though should be a bit less. I'll log on this morning and update that one.
ETA: Fixed shipping for the Hi-Lift mount. Also PM incoming.

LFD Skid Plate Weights
If you were wondering, here is what I got for weights:
Wide Front Skid - 51 pounds
Transmission Skid - 29.8 pounds
Transfer Case Skid - 28.4 pounds
Gas Tank Skid - 54.8 pounds
All came well packed in cardboard boxes with expandable foam packs.
For my order they came in 3 boxes
Gas Tank - box 1
Transfer Case - box 2
Wide Front and Transmission - together in box 3
Installation isn't too bad.
You re-use stock gas tank bolts - just a little bit of maneuvering to get everything lined up.
1 bolt on transfer case drivers side kicked my ass. You have to slide skid under brake bracket and it took me 50 tries and a beer break to get it to take.
Front and Transmission are pretty easy.

That's exciting to know... With a bit of luck I'll have some time in the next few weeks to pop mine on along with the other pile of unrelated maintenance parts I have. Also with a bit of luck I may have something worthy of another photo to add to this thread...

We drug our LFD Skids and bumpers through the mud and over the rocks this past weekend. Super happy with how they all performed!!!
Plus, obviously, our LFD full Roof Rack held all our stuff too.
