A couple people have done that recently. Its been about 4 years since I've seen one of those covers though, before we were doing this, so I haven't tried playing with one with our skids yet.

I just installed a couple of the steel crossbars and notice a decent howl around 40mph. I plan to have a bike tray on them most of the time and also a yakima skybox periodically but am wondering if there is any way to reduce the noise when unloaded?
I would need to add a third crossbar to add the fairing (since I need clamps to be able to wrap around bars for mounting)
I think I read something somewhere about putting some bolts in the holes/slots?

Morning!
The only sure way to knock it out is a faring, but sometimes moving the front crossbar back some helps. We've use some rubber T-Slot covers on the slots too before, or sometimes just bolting something to them works.

yep - you need the fairing. we had the same thing with noise around 50, then 70mph with our steel ruggedized LFD bars. the fairing eliminates it. we use ours for a Thule box.

Thanks for the reply. I've got a question in to your guys to see if I can get the one piece crossbar fairing (like comes with the racks). If I get another crossbar + the separate fairing it sticks up a hair when mounted and isn't level with the other bars..hoping this is an option. It looks cleaner too
Hoping to swing by and grab with a wide skid end of next week
I am a little biased but i love it! I had to drill a hole for my KC Cyclone turn signals but otherwise it was a perfect fit.Its super beefy and the recovery points are some of the thickest in the industry. Its also super easy to access the winch. Rocking my spare in one of these pics after getting a flat. Let me know if you have any questions or if you would like some additional pics.
Thanks for the pics, info and feedback!! no questions at this time, just looking for feedback. This one really caught my eye and somehow is different from the rest.. Can't put my finger on it but I like it!
Thanks again for the info!

We've talked about that before, but haven't tried one yet. Open to it though!
