installed bumpers
Here's picture with both bumpers installed and plastic bumper covers cut and put back on. the white is a limited and bumper is different but cut it and re-installed in less than 30 minutes after spending well over an hour on the silver one first.
yes we will have the white bumper powder coated again to get the color closer to matching.
first swing arm installed. second one had an issue with power coating and will be back next week.
here they are together now with tire installed on swing arm. Once the tire was installed suspension dropped a total of 1.5" on drivers side compared to passenger side. Have medium springs installed now and have heavier springs on the way. the white one dropped .75" on both sides after installing the bumper.
trim arrives today to clean up the appearance of the cut lines. will post another picture with both are done later today.

Has anyone mounted kayak carriers to the LFD Off Road Ruggedized Crossbars? Most carriers I find have the clamp on system designed for square, round, or aero bars. Wondering if anyone has bolted directly to the LFD crossbars?

Thanks so much to the LFD guys! Got my order timely, well boxed, beautifully made crossbars for the stock rails, fit and finish is great and a few little details here and there that make install simple and non-maddening. Even with OCD on the spacing of bars and having to remove the fairing once (I have weird hands) still took just one tool (any 5mm Allen) and 30 minutes (max). Great great stuff

Yep, lots of people using the clamp on accessories with our crossbars. A lot of them work with no or very minimal modification.

Any videos out there showing the front hybrid bumper install? I did a quick search on YouTube and didn't find any.

Don’t know about kayak stuff, but I have a Thule box on order and it was confirmed earlier in this thread that their clamp on system for boxes works well with these bars, just might need an extra crossbar for the wind fairing.

I dont think we have any videos of that right now; its pretty easy though, especially having an Off Road - the front valence outline is your cutting line.

I was a little hesitant since the directions are a little lacking.
I just watched a couple videos of other companies' hidden winch/lo profile installs - I think there were some good Southern Style videos.
Same bumper cover removal, wheel wells, bumper... just cut in a different place.
And since you have a valance - you know where to cut.
Bolting up the new bumper is pretty much idiot proof.
It's surprisingly easy overall.

I guess you can put the bumper on first and then later put on a winch without having to take it off?

Didn't someone who recently installed the hybrid on an SR5 state you should likely cut parallel to the grill but about an inch or so down from where it meets the bumper?

Winch and Bumper at the same time

Nope.
Not enough room to drop down from top - hood latch, horn, cooling lines...
You'd have to take off everything all over again.
On the bright side - you'll be quicker at it.

That was me back around post 900 - you can see some pix.
I cut a bit too much, but "saved" it with some edge guard.
I suggest about 1.5".

How do you like the winch?

I like it... but then its hard really to judge what to like or not on a winch until it fails you.
I wanted a name brand with a good history - I considered Warn, Mile Marker, Engo, Ramsey and Superwinch.
I wanted waterproof, synthetic and 9-10K.
I stalked the internet back around black friday until I found a great deal at rockridge4wd.com $360.
Pros
"Name Brand" 10K Synthetic with a good history
Fit perfect in spot inside bumper - didn't need to bend any lines
Worked 3 times I've tested it and 1 time I needed it off road
Price - so much cheaper than the Warn
Cons
A little slow compared to the fancy new ones (but I was stuck and not going anywhere anyway)
Kind of a clunky hook on the end (looked at replacing it but fancy stuff costs 1/2 as much as the winch)
Solenoid vice contactor (I've submerged it several times and so far so good)
The only other option for me in the end was the Warn - the name, speed and the "upgraded" contactor... but I just couldn't do it.
