@LFD_Off_Road

I recently picked up some 2010-2013 Trail edition LFD cross bars, and am wondering if you have a larger version of the Accessory Mounting Plate? I'd like to be able to stand on top of the runner and am exploring solid platform options. Looking forward to the reply!

While not at all answering your actual question, I will say that on my full length rack, my girlfriend has stood/walked across my crossbars countless times without any problems. Full disclosure, I have the all steel full length rack.

That being said, I (had) the accessory mounting plates up there but I don't think she's ever actually stood on them (as when they were up there they always had traction boards mounted to them). FWIW, the only reason I took the mounting plates off is because now I can mount the traction boards to the spare on my LFD Dual Swing Rear bumper

We dont have any solutions right now, but several people, including @007Tacoma have used Rhino Rack platforms bolted to our crossbars to make a platform. ETA the old steel mesh wire ones, not the new ones.

Yeah... they stopped selling the mesh ones. We still rock it on ours.

Do you have a lead time on when the Crossbars will be back in stock?

Thinking of making Driver Door Skid Plates?

Great muddy day with LFD in the woods of North Carolina.
Regrettably I found a spot their skid plates don't cover - driver door/fender seam.
Door wouldn't open... little bending with a wrench and light hammering - all good.
Slight chance it was pilot error... though I'm claiming some sort of equipment malfunction.

Of course at the top of the hill was a spot you had to crawl two rocks and exit between two trees that were exactly the size of a 4Runner - a very thin door skid could have come in handy again.
Don't think this one is buffing out, but truck still looks perfect on the passenger side.

Sounds like you just need some sliders, LFD has some now

Obviously joking about the door skid... though I have seen goat armor?

I have angled sliders.
Tree 1 impact was right between tire and slider - bad luck.
Tree 2 angled in and the slider wasn't the wide point. Flat sliders might have been just enough to help me here... oh well.

On the bright side, I got to use all the mods I've been putting on the truck.
Skids and bumper passed with flying colors and we were able to drive home that night.

People give me a hard time for having flat sliders with kick outs, but they have saved my butt (er - doors) on so many occasions.

Feedback like this provides extra validation for my decision to have a set built to this spec. Plus I "need" the rear kick out for my toddler to get in and out easier. Mine won't see rock crawling, but more snow/salt than I'd like, so I'm going aluminum.

I'm interested in some wide crossbars for my 5th gen. What's the definition
of backorder? Days, weeks or months?

Thanks!

Its not a Big Creek ride unless someone gets body damage!

Seriously though, glad you guys came down. Hate that you got some extra character added to the 4R, but hopefully the fun offset that.
