Ditto, Really helps the kids in and out. I have the running boards that look suburban but gotta say those predator steps are sexy. Eventually i'll find a slider that feels right but in the mean time it doesn't hurt to have them.

I really like the way it looks without the boards, but think I need the widest possible. 6" perhaps. Or flat oval 5" tubular nurfs?
Any recommendations?

Not sure if "running boards" are what you want. IMHO, the factory ones make great shelves in my garage. They don't stick out far enough to protect your doors from parking lot slammers. That said, they will protect the bottom of the truck and the rear wheel well flairs from dirt, rocks and gravel. My observation is that they're not much help in entering the truck, but they do a great job of gettin' the back of your pants dirty gettin' out. This comment is "running board" related. Steps and sliders ... whole 'nother story. My two cents. Your truck ... your choice. Enjoy it!!!
BTW, I'll put up with the crud that ends up all over the sides of the truck from not havin' "boards". Looks like a actually do some wheelin'. HAH!

How come I never thought of that? They've been sitting in the attic collecting dust for over 5 years when they could have been made useful!
Thanks for the idea/tip!

Check out the Tyger step/bars on Amazon. They’re beefy, we’ll made, and imo pretty reasonable. Free, fast shipping is always a plus. No regrets buying these!

They look nice, sort of like APS I was looking at. What year, model did you select when bought them? Looks like they still don’t have 2020 in their line of product

Just order the '19 model year, it's not any different. They fit my '20 just fine.

running boards and snow
I have them because the wife thought they made it easier to get in. They don't help me and as someone said they make it easy to get your pants dirty getting out.
Came over a mountain pass on Sunday. Probably 100+ pounds of snow stuck to my running boards, might be there till March. Ugly.

I'm 6'2" so don't need them getting in and out of the rig, but my wife likes them and they are great for lashing surfboards to the rack or washing/detailing the roof.

I had these on my 17 Pro. Took them off they are now on my 2020 Pro. Yes they will
Fit a 2020 Pro or 4runner. These are the best especially how far they stick out to protect door dings from other cars.

I have the predators and no I’m not a big fan of running boards. They are only on there for family members, I would rather just sliders.

This...I go back and forth on them, but they are a big help for accessing the roof..my wife initially said she felt like they were a bit of a nuisance but she stopped complaining a couple of months ago..guess I'll keep them for now.

When you say you had "these" you mean Tyger or the APS ones? I think APS sticks out a little more, they claim to be 6'5" wide.
I'm also 6'3" and don't need them for anything but the ding protection. There're a lot of idiots where I live. Especially if you park at the mall or any sort of perpendicular parking...

Sorry about that. Yes there the Tyger bars. Not familiar with the other but love the finish on these and how they protect.
