Coming back to a 5th Gen

Wife decided to trade in her Sienna for a 2019 SR5 Premium (she had to have a third row). We throughly enjoyed our last 5th Gen and were sad to get rid of it. A guy high on PCP chased me through town in his truck and got me blocked in on someones driveway. Only way out was to throw it in reverse and run him over and plow through his truck when he got out to come after me. 4Runner was not a total loss, but I could not keep it after going through that. Dealer ended up buying it back from me for what I paid. Being a Cement TRD Pro it held its value well and they sold it for $4K more than I bought it for new.

Anyways, glad to be back in a 5th gen. I enjoy my 3rd gen Tacoma which replaced the last 4Runner, but something about this gen 4Runner is addicting. We had to own another one.

Welcome back, I gotta ask - why did you pull into a driveway with someone chasing you? Hell if I go through a double drive through I will ALWAYS take the outside order point so I can bail if needed - generally try to avoid fast food but hey no ones perfect

When I first passed his truck in town he was stopped by the police. When I later saw him coming up behind me real quick (and I was stopped at a stop sign) I figured he was running from the police so I pulled into a driveway to avoid being hit. It really wasn't until he pulled in behind me that I realized he was after me. Police later confirmed they let him go about the time I drove past and he saw me and decided to come after me.

I think the cops owe you a new 4rnr since the guy on PCP that they JUST LET GO caused you to smash your truck getting away from him.....
(Is PCP still a thing??)

I wish it worked that way and I did not think it was still a thing until all of this happened.

Was not expecting this story when coming into this thread, wow.

Dash cams are becoming more and more realistic every day for me.
