If the sound goes away, don’t assume it has fixed itself. Assume the wheel bearing has gotten worse.

Bad wheel bearings are easy to check. Just jack the suspect wheel up and rotate by hand feeling for slop, roughness, noise.

First I would check your tires for feathered or sawtooth wear on outside. Have you changed your shocks? At 101K mikes the OEM shocks are gone which will lead to feathered or saw tooth wear and the sound and vibration you’re describing.

I'm no mechanic by any means, but it sure sounds like a wheel bearing going out.. I'd also have my front wheels aligned...

Front wheel bearing. When you turn right, you're changing the load on that bearing, causing the noise to cease.

I appreciate all of the insight and feedback.
It was in fact a bad wheel bearing.
I changed both font out and now the truck drives and tracks like new.

That's great news! Nice job diagnosing by the forum, and a good tip on where to get the parts. I just ordered both sides for my 95K 2011 SR5 last night.

Question: Did you order and replace the inner seals as well? If so, are they easy to remove and reinstall the new ones? How about the O-Ring? Did the new hubs come with new O-Rings?

Thanks!

JA

Has anyone figured out how to do have the wired logo for door lights or the mirror lights in the 5th gen but with the 4Runner logo rather than the Toyota?
