Something to look out for if installing a TRD Cold Air Intake

Installed the intake I received today from the TRD sale, fairly easy and did it myself in a few hours. Something I'm glad I caught however was a manufacturing defect in one of the couplers. The coupler that also connects to (i think the vacuum) tubing had a very small film of rubber on the inside where there was supposed to be a hole. Very easy fix with a knife or scissors, but would have been a complete pain if I hadn't noticed it.

The thin film was on the inside of these 2 holes

Also make sure the coupler from the pipe to the airbox is on there tight..

While revving hard (i.e. sand pulls), the engine tilts quite a bit and can pull the coupler off and risk pulling dust into the manifold

Mine was good.

If you guys are wondering what to do with the wire harness, here are some pics of what I did to reroute it.
In the last pic, I snapped the leg off the clip that was on the original airbox, then noticed there was a long flat clip taped further up the wire bundle towards the fender, so I just cut the tape and moved it so I could use it to attach the wire bundle to the new airbox.

Relocating the MAF Sensor for TRD CAI

I am new to this forum I was just wondering if anyone has ever used a MAF Sensor extension cable as opposed to opening up the wiring harness to extend the MAF Sensor. Does anyone know if a cable for this application?

Not sure why you would spend the money on it, literally takes 10 mins to untape and retape the MAF wires. Super simple and no tension on the MAF sensor.

The extender for the pre 2010 4Runners is 20 dollars from Michigan Auto sports or something like that. They do not have one for the newer 4Runners. For that kind of money I would prefer not taking apart a portion of my wiring harness. With my luck I will cut it in half.
