2016 Trail in CO on the list. Scheduled for a few weeks from now. Thanks for the heads up!
I was also thinking I would wait because I have had bad experiences with dealers trying to take out a dash and replacing it. However, I would rather not have a ticking time bomb for my passengers. I would feel awful if something happened to someone because of my irrational fear of having some rattles or broken clips.

FWIW, I had this recall performed last year and they didn't appear to need to remove the entire dash to replace the passenger side airbag. It looked like they removed the glovebox and got access from there. I have a lot of aftermarket equipment, so it was a worry for me.

But that's just me.

They will not go off by themselves. The issue is over time in high humidity areas they may fail to deploy due to corrosion over time.
I'm not worried in the least.

Went in to get an oil change yesterday and they were going to do the recall, but were missing a few parts and I could not leave it (they offered a free loaner) due to plans after work today

the recall is also because the inflator can rupture which fires metal fragments at you, people have died because of shrapnel
i don't think most people who have been in an accident where airbags were deployed didn't plan on their airbags deploying, so ignoring something that could fire shrapnel at you and kill you if the airbags deploy is weird since you can't just say, "well okay i just won't get in an accident so problem solved"

I'm on the list, but I'm not worrying about it right now. I'm in Zone C and have plenty of time according to their "projections" lol
"ZONE C: Includes states with lower temperature cycling and humidity. Time in service
until significant propellant degradation may occur is projected at 15-20 years."

Just dropped mine off at the dealer. Said it would be a 3 hour job,, bit too long to wait so they gave me a loaner to go home in. Brand new Rav4 hybrid. Funny,, never been in a hybrid, couldn't figure out how to start it. Had to ask the service guy how to get it going, he smiled and said it's a hybrid, put in gear and go. LOL
Did get 42 MPG n the way home.
