I wouldn’t go around saying that so freely. I work for another manufacturer and when they find out that you can shortcut a job they’ll cut back on labor.

I get you but I did not state how long it takes, just that it isn't that hard. No worries though they screw us on warranty labor enough on other things haha

I called the dealer yesterday and made an appointment to leave it Thursday morning. That worked well; it's the first day my wife can let me have her car for the day. Keeping my fingers crossed...
Edited to add: I got the recall notice in today's mail.

Dual range 5 speed, factory skid plate, 3 position manually adjustable rear shocks and armored exhaust. All factory, including the white spoke wheels. The front sub frame finally rusted apart.

I had both of my 4runners done this weekend. Each took about 3-4 hours with oil change and tire rotations.

I just made an appointment today to bring my 2015 in on Friday morning. The dealership left me a voicemail and email saying they had them in stock.

Got mine replaced last week. No issues. Loaner was a new Corolla. Took about 3 hrs, including 40K mile service.

Had mine done yesterday at Toyota of Hollywood (CA). Dropped it off around 8, was done by 3PM, along with the 45K service and f/r brake jobs.

update. I dropped it off at 10am, picked it up at 6pm.
I can't see any difference so that's good.
They also did not try to add any "you need this" extras.
I will call this one good.

I got my air bag recall completed and an oil change 2/22 . In at 2:00 out at 3:30 for everything. Weird thing is they left the ignition switch in the accessory position and my dash cam picked up all the talking etc. There was a lot of clowning around, swearing etc. but the tech seemed like he was having fun and did a good job.

Looks like recall reached Canada. Got mail with recall notification on March 1st. Called dealership and they said that first available date for appointment is March 19th. So I guess they are real busy with the recall, and hopefully they can get some experience doing this before they got to work on my truck. Still not sure if they are going to remove whole dashboard or just glove box, guess I'll remove Dashcam and GPS wiring just in case.

Did you get the job done last week?
I too was wondering if it involved dash re&re or if they go in underneath/behind the glove box?

Although I received my Safety Recall Campaign notice from Toyota Canada back in February, I waited for a convenient time for me to bring my 2011 Limited into my local dealership for the airbag replacement. I also figured not going in early would reduce the "guinea pig" or "lab rat" effect that might happen with the first few removal/replacement procedures at my dealership.
I was also a little wary of getting this recall done, having read the many posts about some sloppy workmanship being done at isolated (mainly U.S.) dealerships.
The last recall notice that I received was for my 2003 Limited (the infamous "shave-the-brake-pedal" driver's floor mat fiasco), which I declined.
I had called last week to make an appointment for the recall work, and this morning the work was completed. Before handing over my 4Runner, I chatted briefly with the technician who was doing the work to confirm what he was going to be removing to get to the airbag assembly. The glovebox, the dashboard gets moved slightly, and the radio/stereo gets loosened to get at the airbag.
Total actual time was a shade over 2 hours (just a shade!) between drop-off for appointment and call back saying work was completed. Invoice has 3 hours recorded.
An inspection of the dashboard/glovebox area afterwards, and I can't even tell work has been done in the area. No scratches, no rattles, everything lines up as before.
All in all, very pleased by this recall work done at North Bay Toyota.
