Seems easy enough. Hope I can find time to give this a shot this weekend! Thanks!

Now, since the Xenons seem to disable the DRLs, the lights do turn completely off after remote start has been ended.
However, if I accidentally leave my low beams on, the lights will stay on until the battery is dead. This is the scenario I would like to hear people's input on.

You've lost me here, DRL's run the high beam bulb at a lesser voltage, converting the low beams to LED should have no effect on the DRL's.

Couldn't agree more. I was surprised myself. There has been some discussion on these forums about it, and several other members with my same setup ended up with the same exact results.

Well, I have the XD Extreme HID kit on my low beams, and no side effects, just great light output, FWIW.

Gray connector on brain, solid orange to the red wire at fusebox shown in the pic.
To test when done, remote start it, then deactivate the remote start with the remote and do not open the door. The lights should time out under a minute.

This will most likely trip the factory alarm, assuming the doors are locked (which they should be).

The factory alarm isn't armed during remote start
