C4 low pro bumper winch fairlead

This pic is with the drum empty, but with more rope on it, the way it rides over the edge is a concern. Any thoughts or ideas?

It's hard to tell exactly from that pic..........

You can buy a fairlead with rollers on it. However all the ones I've used are not as low-profile as the hawse style you pictured.

I'm not sure what it's called exactly, buy my synthetic line came with a "sheath" about 6 feet long that can be slid/positioned any place the line might have excessive rubbing. It takes a bit more hands on,but it protects the line from flat out grating on rocks or trees or fairleads, etc.

They make 1.5 inch fairleads now that might give u a better peace of mind with a half inch more clearance from that edge.

I ended up ordering a new fairlead that appears to have a radius on the inside of the opening. This should help..

Cable problem

I am having an issue with the alignment of the cable and the cut out on the bumper. It rubbs badly along the bottom edge of the bumper cut out. I am using a steel cable that will need to change because the rollers won't fit on the front bumper. But synthetic will have the same issue. This is a 4th gen, C4 low profile, 12000lb winch. Have yall seen this issue on your mounts too?

I just indalled a C4 LoPro ad well and I have the exact same problem. I put a 1 inch factor 55 on the outside and it’s all the way up to the highest positions. Zero rubbing on the outside of the rope, but inside its making contact with the inside edge of the bumper. What did you end up doing with yours?
