2013 SR5 High Beams

I've been "studying" myself blind trying to plan an exterior lighting upgrade for my 2013 SR5. I *THINK* that I have concluded that an LED upgrade to the High Beams should just drop in for me, without the DRL/Flicker issue addressed by the @XenonDepot CANbus.

It took me a while to realize that *I THINK* that is a 2014 and later issue, but since I have separate DRLs, I can just replace my halogen bulb with an LED bulb.

Can someone confirm for me, please? I don't want to make a mistake.

Hi Troika,

I don't think that you'll have a problem with LED Headlights; it's the Hazards/directional signals, that will 'Short-cycle' when replaced with LED's, due to the lack of resistance in a diode's design. I've run LED's in my 2012 limited's headlight circuit w/o any electrical anomalies so I think you'll be fine!

rig, cheers!
