Tire pressure monitoring options??

What all options are out there for getting a tire pressure and trans temp display? I know about the scangauge II. Anything else? That’s either cheaper or that is wireless and talks to an iPhone app?

App for current Tire Pressure?

I'm have the same question and came across your post and will track this thread to see what kind of response you get. I'm going to spend some time searching the internet today too. I've seen mention of something called Torque Pro an app but haven't found if it does tire pressure or not. I'm jealous of my buddy who has a Tacoma when we go offroading and he can see his Tire Pressure. If I come across anything worthwhile I'll share. Thanks for the post!

I came up with the following links but haven't found anything definite for tire pressure monitoring yet...

Torque app and 2014

Trying to make sense of T4R OBD/CAN PID codes

Torque app and 2014

Sure, lots of us use aftermarket radios headunits to get tons of additional information via the iDatalink Maestro setup offered by several companies. Definitely not cheaper but highly integrated and useful.

Thanks for the insight and reply. Might I ask a few questions and apologies upfront if they seem a bit too newbie'ish … What setup do you have? Are you using this Maestro with an after market head unit, and if so what specific model ? Does your head unit support Android Auto ? And are you seeing real time tire pressure for each wheel ? Can you post a picture ? What model and year is your 4runner ? You've peaked my interest into something I wasn't aware of and would like to take some more time to research. Tx!

I kinda saw the same thing. A lot of options, but none of them are real good about showing what actual data you actually get to see for a specific vehicle.

Thanks, not sure I’m willing to look at aftermarket radio just to get this. How does the radio integrate with iPhone. Does it crash every time you make a phone call like the stock one?

For sure. It's not cheap but fixed so many of the things I didn't like about the 4runner, for me at least. No crashing! Ha!

Cool, I like that you have CarPlay and all the vehicle info. Not crazy about the aftermarket dash trim and the loss of physical buttons. Is that a scosche that you painted?

I’m surprised that there are not more companies making direct replacement options that integrate better into what’s already there. I guess it’s just not enough cost benefit. But it would sell like crazy with how poorly entune and iOS work together.

Yeah, it's the Scosche. Had a body shop match it. I honestly don't even think about it anymore. Love it. I think so much of the interior is so oddly designed that it just blends in to the design chaos. I thought for a minute that the Entune would be enough but that ended pretty quickly. I love using the Garmin, Google, and Waze mapping as-needed and that OEM GPS was ROOOOOUGH.

But back to the original subject, the TPMS readout is a life-saver.

OBD fusion app has tire pressures listed as a choice in the Toyota advanced PIDs. Haven’t tried them out yet to see if they work though.
