Storage containers
Any recommendations for storage containers that fit really well in the back of our 5th gens? Water proof would be nice as I will likely toss them on top of my roof rack once its here if needed. Folding/collapsible is extra points for storing between trips.
Going to start camping and traveling more and want to be organized.
Thanks!

Granted, this is just for everyday, but I've started with a large Coleman cooler. I bungee it through the handles and D rings when on the open road. Great for grocery shopping and keeping things fresh on longer hauls.

I've been really happy with these 46 qt. containers from the Container Store for only $18 ea. They do have a foam gasket around the lid and I leave them outside when camping. They are big enough to perfectly fit a roll of paper towels standing on end. I would not travel with them on the roof regularly, but they would work in a pinch.
Four containers fit on the factory sliding tray near perfectly.

Thanks. Those fit really great! Looks really nice with your whole set up with the sliding tray and the shelf you built.
Wife would love any excuse to go to the container store, so may consider these.
What awning is that?

It's the Slumberjack Roadhouse Tarp: https://slumberjack.com/roadhouse-tarp/. It's okay, but takes a minute to setup, especially with one person. I do like it because I do all of my cooking out of the back when camping. The end that attaches to the vehicle can be removed and staked to the ground if you want to do some exploring.

Good find thanks bought one.I know a functional shaped tarp would be more useful than 200-300 dollar awning.

I use two of these, but keep them on the passenger side rear seat folded down. They fit perfectly in that area and only cost about $30 each. They also stack.

These are my solutions, as I was looking for cost effective and replaceable if lost/stolen.
Ridgid Tool Box
3 across can fit in each section of a Gobi rack and can easily stack in the back, they even lock together when stacked.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-2...2570/205440481
Plano Heavy Duty Sports Man Trunk
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Large and cheap, although slightly thin plastic molding makes they a little bendable, but fit easy in the cargo area and on a roof rack.

From a recent group buy.... for outside the 4Runner Roam Adventure Box
Inside I use these Storage boxes They are available in several different sizes. Costco sells a similar, but cheaper version of this.
Pelican makes some excellent storage boxes, but they are pretty expensive......
