Reinstalling aux/cig center dash bottom dash help

Anyone can provide any tips or ideas on how to reinstall the bottom center dash that houses the aux and cig port? I lost a 10mm extension down there so I had to pull it out. Now can’t get it back on for the life of me. Been wrestling with it for the last hour. Pics attached.

I had my center stack partially disassembled yesterday for relocating the USB port. As far as I can tell, that bottom most piece shouldn't be able to be removed/installed without removing the center console there as well.

Assuming you didn't remove the center console before removing that piece, you probably just happened to use enough force to get it removed and out from the console without [luckily] breaking anything (at least based on the photo).

I could be wrong though as I only loosened that lower section and did not remove it or the console.

You're right. Was hoping I didn't have to pull the center console to reinstall.

Shouldn't be too much work. This might help: How to: Center Console / Shifter Trim Removal and Cean

Good luck! Luckily, Toyota seems to use way better plastic fasteners than a lot of other manufacturers and in my experience, they're plenty strong and don't yield/fail so easily like the shit from the early 2000s.

Thanks for the link. It was a lot easier than I expected. I was able to get the piece back on easily once the center console was removed.
