XenonDepot HID Instructions Needed

I was pretty excited to get these installed tonite but alas, not only did I not get the cool box I also didn’t get any instructions for install and I didn’t see anything on their site. I’ve watched a few videos on YouTube but I still have questions. Can anyone share theirs?

Found this link:

H11 HID Headlight | 2016 Toyota 4Runner HID

It was pretty straighforward when I did the install. They came with relays, for the 5th gen 4runner they weren't needed. You drill the hole in the dust cover and run the harness through. There's one connector on the bulb side of the harness that connects to the factory headlight connector. On the engine compartment side of the harness the connections mate up to the ballast. Repeat for the other headlight.

edit - here's another guide - Xenon Depot HID Low Beam Install - XD HID Install 5th Gen 4Runner

If you didn't get instructions, you may be missing other things too. I'd call them and work this out to make sure you have everything before starting. Others may not have the same kit, so their instructions may not work for you.

This is the first I've seen anything about not needing the relays. Why are they in the kit then?

If they are in the kit use them. Relays are the better way to go in my opinion. Less load on the stock wiring.

The kits aren’t vehicle specific. Its a standard kit for all vehicles per bulb type. 4Runners dont need relays but if you want to do extra work and have more wires under your hood go for it.

This. Some vehicles have issues using the factory headlight wiring to ignite the ballasts, so they provide the relays to provide more current/less voltage drop. 5th gen doesn’t seem to be one of them. I tried it both with and without the relays and didn’t notice a difference. So I chose not to permanently install them for a cleaner install.

Just installed the XenonDepot HID and LED DRL lights

Just finished up the install without the instructions. Only difficult part I had was getting polarity right in the LED DRLs. Also, tucked the ballasts under the side plastic covers using double sided sticky tape. Lights are amazing now.

Better man. I am completely lost when it comes to anything electrical. I submitted a contact form last nite and was asked to send them pics of what i received but never got another response. I'll install without the relays and get it done. Tired of waiting.

Good luck at getting a response. I tried to submit a contact form and I got a email saying it was undeliverable. Tried to call and spent 10 minutes on hold and said forget it. Since they have been sold, their customer service sucks.

Where you located at? I would look on here or FB for a local 4R group and ask for help. I suck at that stuff too but I reached out to a few people and got some help. FWIW, I used all parts provided but that's just how I am. Good luck

Did you install the DRL LED drivers with the LED kit?

Xenon Depot main lighting upgrade a success!

Thanks to all who posted here (and several YouTube vids) for inspiration on the Xenon Depot upgrades. Vehicle: 2020 TRD Pro.

High Beams: XD Xtreme LEDs with DRL driver: This works great, as it runs the LED HBs on a low-power DRL setting: White enough to clearly show the lights are NOT stock anymore, but not so bright as to annoy other drivers in daylight hours.

Low Beams: XD Xtreme HID, connected to the factory plugs (not using the supplied harness and relay for direct battery connection). So Far So Good. I had to lower the aim of the lights considerably to stop blinding oncoming drivers.
