XM Not Working After Airbag Recall Work

So I took my 2015 SR5 into the dealer today to have the passenger airbag recall taken care of. After they were done and I got into the vehicle to leave I attempted to turn on XM. Well...I no longer have XM as an option in the audio menu. The presets also now do nothing. Of course I went right back into the service dept. One of the guys came out to look at it. Asked me three times if I had a XM subscription... Now I need to take it back in for them to look at. Anyone else ever have this issue? I assume they pulled the headunit out to pull the passenger dash apart...I'm thinking they never plugged the XM unit back in...? And this is why I do all of my own maintenance...

Sounds like they didn't reconnect the antenna. Shouldn't be a big deal for them to fix. Take it back until they do.

I'm confused on what happened here. You told them it was broken and they just sent you on your way without fixing it?

I need to take it back in to have them fix the issue. It was too late in the day to fix it right away. Was especially odd to not even have the XM icon in the audio menu any longer.

The XM tuner in 2014 and up is mounted to the brackets that hold the radio in place, just below the OEM deck. If the antenna was just unplugged you you get a "check antenna error". Since it's grayed out just to get to the source it sounds like a power connector at the tuner instead.

Thanks man. I’m thinking tuner as well. Maybe I could get a free service from this inconvenience but then again I don’t want them touching anything else.

This literally just happened to me!

Exactly the same thing - took 4Runner for airbag recall and XM radio not working. Did you find out the problem?
