It would take me 50 years to accumulate some of the miles ya'll drive! Dam! Just crossed 10k. If the ski resort was closer, it would probably be like 3k.

How is that "yikes", might I ask? Because it's unusual for "American Soccer Dad" to go on multiple long road trips? "He should be staying home and just commuting to his corporate office like the rest of us!"

"Only 15k miles/ year is what normal people do, gosh darnit!"

Is there some kind of good boy rule that you're supposed to only drive a little bit or certain amount?

Just curious at the psychology at play...

I've noticed that so many Americans are taken aback when someone doesn't fall in line with the 'herd'. It like initiates discomfort or something, where they have to interject these little jabs or...as millennials say...'projections'. That's how I read "yikes".

"WHY CAN'T YOU JUST BE NORMAL LIKE THE REST OF US AND FALL IN LINE?!?!" they scream.

I have 95k. And could care less. I think one should drive as much as they can until they can't anymore. Stop living on egg shells and in the eyes of 'what's proper' or "what others think" or "what am I supposed to do". The spirit of the 4runner, is supposed to be of freedom and unrestricted movement.

Bought my 2016 Trail "new" 5/27/2017 (Memorial Day Weekend) with 125 miles on the ODO. I'll be taking it in this weekend for the Takata recall and 60K-Mile Servicing. I'll have "high-mileage" Runner by the 2 Year mark hahaha.

40K on my '15 but will hopefully start to climb more later this year as we are making somewhat of a life change to get out and explore more.

Just turned 22k on my 2018 TRDOR, 4th 4Runner.

I had 379k (22R) on my old 85' Toy (daughter used to call her Nala, lol) when I begrudgingly sold it to a buddy.

It had a Downey Off Road lift and ran 36" Dick Cepek Fun Country's. That truck could go anywhere except for the ocean or the sky! Miss that truck!
