Removed the mini mud guards from the front wheel wells and I am still getting rubbing. Had these wheels on my wife's 2012 4runner Limited with no rubbing. Not sure what has changed between the 12 and 20 models. Will investigate more and report back. May need the liner mod and/or a trim.

Could be any of the following:
1) You could be rubbing the body mount -the bit of metal that was directly behind the front mudguards. You can tell if you rub because wherever the body mount is rubbing will be rubbed clean versus the unrubbed parts that will still have dirt and debris. Or rub your body mount with chalk and then try to induce rubbing. If any chalk disappears, you know you're rubbing your body mounts. For reference, I'm rubbing my body mount even after removing my front mud flaps. After not washing the rig for a week, I noticed a part of the body mount that was still perfectly clean from being rubbed -the rest was covered in a layer of dirt and dust.
2) You're rubbing your front splash guards -easy fix that takes like 10m to push them forward.
3) You're rubbing a bit of your front bumper along with your front splash guards. If this is the case, consider trimming an inch or so of that lower lip. Nobody will be able to see it so it doesn't have to be perfect if you don't want.
What you could do is get someone to drive your vehicle in reverse in a parking lot while you follow them around giving them directions to see exactly where you're rubbing.

Thanks, I've been through this same process many times with other Toyota rigs. I was just surprised that a 265 would rub, especially when I had plenty of clearance on my 2012 Limited with these same wheels and tires that I swapped to the 2020 Limited, and this is considered a "stock" size for the 4Runner, being only .003" more in diameter (on paper). I know the Pro wheels stick out more to the offset, but that fact they come on the Pro (and countless others have installed with no rubbing on 5th gens, including 275s surprised me a bit. I'll report back this weekend when I have time to diagnose.

I find that really odd as well. I even told my friend with a 2016 LTD that moving to a 17" rim with a 265 tire shouldn't give him any issues as that's what my SR5 came i.e. OEM sizing.
If you figure it out, post back! Be nice to know what to tell my friend to look out for.

It may have to do with the new front fascia in the 2014+ limited models. I know that when installing the pro wheels at port for the TRD Pros they have to trim the bumper and do the fender liner mod before ever sending it to the dealership, even for the stock size Grapplers that come on it. You could also check the alignment if its on the body mount/mudflaps. Increasing Caster could eliminate that.

SR5 to TRD
So on a 2010 SR5 4wd, the TRD Pro Rims will fit without any spacers, regardless of being 2013+? Sorry, a little new to this.

I switched from SR5 to TRD Pro wheels and I have no rub. My caster is 3.2 degrees. You caster might be low so it rubs.

So it was definitely the front liner, on the driver side only, and just barely rubbing. The liner mod gave the tire a ample amount of clearance.

Did you buy oem? some of the knockoff sets are 17x8 with different offset. Should still fit on 265's though

Yes, they are OEM. Ordered from a Toyota dealer. They barely rubbed with the 265 Falkens on the driver side, and was very close on the passenger side.

Hmm, not sure than. I had 265 falcon on my stock 19 pro rims with zero rub.
Also have them on my 20 but currently on the trail rims

What trim was your 19? Maybe it is a newer Limited issue.
The trail rims don't have as much offset and are less likely to rub.
