Battery removal/installation question..

So I’m going to try and put in my low & high beam LED’s in the next day or two. I have the set from XenonDepot. Everything i’m reading says the drivers side is much easier to do if I remove the battery. Anything specific I need to do or be carful of when taking the battery out and reinstalling it? It looks pretty cut and dry. I have a 2019 4Runner, they don’t do anything funky like throw codes that have to get reset at th dealership do they?

No it's nothing special. You may lose some radio setting but that's about it. I installed my LEDs a few weeks ago and I didn't remove my battery. I have big hands so it was tight but doable.

If I remember correctly they say to remove the battery to put the ballast on the side there, right? Most install on the top of the fender under the plastic, which wouldn't require removing the battery to get to.

just a heads-up,
after you re-install your battery, it's normal for your engine to stop just shortly after starting the first time. Just restart and don't fret.

Thanks for the replies, I appreciate it. I have big hands, so taking the battery out will make the install a little easier. Glad to know there isn’t anything bug to worry about other then radio presets.

If your power windows have auto up feature you may need to relearn them.

At each front window switch, roll all the way down, then all the way back up and hold for an additional 5 seconds.

I have huge hands as well and removing the battery to run and wire the HID's and light bars cleanly and super easy. It's literally just a few 10 mm bolts, the battery is heavy just be careful when lifting it up.

I have disconnected my 2018 TRDP battery multiple times to install by dual battery system and Blue Sea fuse blocks. I didn't have any problems other than the engine turning off the first time you restart. I am not sure why it does that but it doesn't bother me anymore since I'm used to it. I am guessing it has something to do with the ECU resetting. As a side note my friends FJ had to be taken to the shop when he disconnected for a few days and they had to reset something.
