2016 trail to a 2019 Pro
I’m thinking of pulling the trigger on a 2019 TRD Pro in the Voodoo Blue and am curious if anyone has any input on if they are happy with the decision? Mainly going to the Pro for the leather heated seats, and the color....I do have Bilstein 5100 on my trail with 2.5in lift, does the Pro come a bit higher than the trail as stock? Lastly, how is the Pro suspension?

I don't have a Pro but it's my understanding that the Pro doesn't have any greater lift than the other models. It does however have greater suspension travel, 2" I believe?? Someone else may chime in here and correct me if I'm wrong on that. They do well off road right out of the box but if you're expecting it to be 2" taller than your current set-up you'll be disappointed.
If you're just getting the pro for the heated seats, why not look into a premium TRD. You can get heated leather in almost any trim. My SR5 has it. Although that Voodoo Blue is awesome IMO.

Seems like a big expense for a color swap. I don't think the Pro suspension is a significant upgrade from what you already have on your trail. For the color swap, look into a vinyl wrap also.

I was under the impression that the Pro had about 1.5 lift compared to a trail out of the box. I know I can get the heated leather in any trim...I want the crawl control and locker so I’ll at the minimum be getting a off road premium...if I do that I’ll be adding some sort of lift as soon as I buy it. I’m a big fan of the Voodoo Blue and even Calvary from 2018 so that is playing into my decision. I’m really just looking for input on the suspension side of the Pro....that Voodoo has me mesmerized...

the pro is a little higher, the suspension is better than bilstein 5100's (trd is similar to a non adjustable 6112)
for the price increase of the trd pro you can build a much better suspension setup though, so basically you are paying a steep premium for the vehicle color

I have looked into a wrap and in my area it is about $3,000-3,500.

I think the wrap is the way to go. I'm huge fan of both the Cavalry and Voodoo Blues. I just could never see myself getting a TRD Pro though.

This is a grab your popcorn and watch the replies kind of post.
Here’s my 2 cents. Life is short and meant to be enjoyed. If it is within your means and it doesn’t make you compromise life in other ways then go for it!
I have a Pro and I really enjoy the unique color and the out of box features. However, I wouldn’t buy anything until the new 4Runner is announced. If they do improve the car I can only assume the 5th gen will drop in value. The voodoo blue has the highest msrp of the Pros. It will drop once the new 4runners come to light.

The Pro is 1” higher up front. Go for it if you don’t plan on modifying much in the way of suspension. The 2019 Pros get a sunroof, JBL stereo, LED fog lights and the new Fox shocks, which, are supposed to be better. Also, comes with new, overstated roof rack, imo.

Ok, so $3500 for the wrap and $200 for a full detail you'll have a whole new 4r!

I have one and love it. Even though this is my first I like the pro. I wouldn’t get a wrap but that’s me. You won’t get your money back on it. I don’t think the prices will go down once the new one comes out if you have a unique color on the pro. It definitely won’t go down if they put in the transmission from the Tacoma. I’ve heard many people not liking it and that will just make the older model worth more. In the long run wouldn’t worry to much about that get what you want.

Ken, I have a 4th gen that I love everything about...except the color. I've even considered repainting it, which is completely crazy! Go get the truck you want, even if the main reason is the COLOR. My daughter loves the Voodoo Blue by the way. Good luck. Cheers, Greg.

Pro does not have leather... the only one that does is the Limited
I much rather just mod what you have. Suspension, you can do better for less aftermarket.
