I hear you. I'll cross that bridge then. Buy a new sticker or have a shop paint it. I just can't keep getting blasted on my desert trips or just driving to work.

I had mine for less than a year before the sun blasted me off of the hood scoop.

A little late to this thread but I have to agree that in just 2 months ownership on my '19 the scoop glare is intense at times. I have the voodoo blue pro and most of the exterior is matte blacked out already so the vinyl would look decent with it I think. That white one looked pretty sharp.

"I hate that it serves no purpose."

It's the perfect flat spot to set my coffee in the morning or my beer in the afternoon. I used it almost everyday last week on the beach from Kill Devil Hills down to Hatteras.

Sure, the running boards work and so does the roof, but the hood scoop is so convenient when you're surf fishing and up and around the truck for hours on end.

This 2016 TEP w/KDSS is a big step up from the 1986 Subaru GL wagon I used on the Outer Banks beaches for 14 years. That thing would go anywhere in the sand on 185/70-13 tires. Dual range 5 speed, factory skid plate, 3 position manually adjustable rear shocks and armored exhaust. All factory, including the white spoke wheels. The front sub frame finally rusted apart.

Ha ha. Your use of the hood scoop made me imagine recessing six shallow can holders into the top (a la Antman). If I was more skilled at Photoshop, I'd do it up!

I traded my hood with a scoop for one without.

It reduced visibility off road significantly.

I am looking to do the same. I haven't experienced any glare issues, just prefer the looks of the standard SR5 hood.
