I never heard of A.J. Until the other day searching for light upgrades. I looked on their web site, found that he was a middle man (granted he may hang parts well) and moved on.

I wold recommend being very careful with this vendor. Seen many issues over the years. Where there is smoke there is usually fire....

I saw your post on the 5th gen facebook group and was appalled by some of the responses you got. So much so, that I left that group. It's amazing that people still vouch for this guy even after you laid hard facts down. Wow!

This is shady. Beyond shady.
If he's genuinely forgetting to place orders (DOUBTFUL) then he's probably f'ing up install work too. No one can do quality work if they've got million of things to do.
Also, if he did forget to place the order. A simple email explaining so AND passing on the savings to the OP and some swag would've cooled the flames here. Instead he's clearly pocketing the money and pretending nothing happened.
I've also read that the manufacturer dropped him as a vendor.

I left a couple FB groups because of one member who literally tags him in every single post asking about headlights and LED's, it got so goddamn annoying especially knowing his questionable business products that I saw my own way out.

funny how the vendor was defending himself, and was a moderator on the group, what a joke. sorry AJC, was going to give you a chance, I will spend my money elsewhere. Even if it was an honest mistake and everything you said was true, you should of stepped up and compensated him for the extra time alone.

No experience with this vendor.
But as a small business owner with 1 employee I LOATH the "I can't get you what I promised because I'm a small business" excuse. WRONG It just means you're probably disorganized and bad a being a business owner. No shame, it's not for everyone.
Look, it's not easy owning a business. It's with you everyday and really blends into your identity. I'm a fourth generation entrepreneur, from a family of entrepreneurs all starting and running different types of businesses. My great uncle is in his 80s and is at the point of thinking about retiring but can't because he doesn't know who he'd be without his shop. But stop making the rest of us who give our heart and soul to make our customers happy and deliver a product or service that that blows the big guy out of the water look bad. All you are doing is pissing off your customers and making people leery to deal with other small businesses.

I've had a couple of small businesses myself. You don't give excuses when you make a mistake, you offer solutions. One mistake might cost you a sale, how you handle it could cost you much more.

It seems that part of the problem was that he wasn't responsive to emails, so people would have to blast him on Facebook, Instagram, & and this forum to get his attention. Just more places to put out more fires, which takes up even more time, which puts him further behind, etc.
