Both passenger and driver sides have the rubber grommet you can easily remove, then use a gland to seal up the connection.

On the passenger side pic with the red arrow, you can stretch that nipple out and cut off the end and you will see a sleeve that goes through the factory harness boot and firewall. Just add a little soap or glide and it slides right through.

How much can you stuff inside the larger driver size grommet? I have a couple of switch wires running there already so not sure how much I can throw in there before I begin making more cuts. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to run two 4 gauge wires through the tiny unused opening above the main grommet. I want to run 2 x 4 gauge wires through there into the trunk. Also, any tips on which way to route the wires in terms of opening up the plastic covering over the wheel well etc? (whether to stary from the trunk and push them through the back or start from the hood and move back..)

Antics Design on ebay sells grommets with holes in them. Here's a direct link.

In case that doesn't work in the future, here's his profile page. You can see all of his items for sale there.

Wish I saw this before I tore my hands up routing through the lower grommet last week, my sPod and PowerTray made it pretty difficult to reach through

What size is the cable gland you used for this?

And how did you locate the inside where that hole is? I've tried several times removing that grommet and trying to figure out where the exit was inside the cab, and it seemed like it was completely covered by something inside the cab.

Also, you can run wires beside the rear windshield washer fluid line through that grommet if you want to avoid cutting anything.

Since nobody ever answered, I'm resurrecting this thread in case anyone else comes searching for an answer as to what is behind this small grommet on the passenger side firewall!

If you remove this grommet, you'll quickly find out that there's a rubber insulation mat immediately behind it, and you cannot see what's on the other side of the insulation. It's actually in the vicinity of the large space behind the glove box area. I just took a drill larger than the cable I fed through (in my case a RG58 antenna cable) and drilled it through by hand. There's a ton of space, so no worries about hitting anything. Drill a hole by hand into the grommet that's smaller than your cable, and you'll have a factory-looking, weather tight seal entry into the cabin!
