I negotiated before deposit. If you can call it negotiating. I asked about pricing, expecting the 5k over MSRP I've heard about. He was like "I can take $750 off MSRP"...I was jubilant yet must have a good poker face. After a couple of seconds he says "$1000 off". And that was all I needed to hear.

I suppose that makes more sense. I did not negotiate before deposit. At the time I wasn’t sure I wanted it, I mostly wanted to ensure I got to see the exact model I wanted and test drive one ASAP. I’ll ask for my deposit back if I can’t get the price I want. Just means more waiting. No big deal.

I haven’t negotiated on price yet, but, getting a TRD Pro, they said they won’t mark it up so I will take it. I guess I don’t really have much negotiation room on a pro that I have ordered and waited for.

Agreeing to a good price is obviously nice but probably more important is making sure they dont put a bunch of crap on it you dont want and being stuck paying for that.

Yeah, It’s tough for me to move up to a 2020 Pro. I paid 43000 for my 17 Pro. Only has 11,000 miles on it. The only advantage I have is if I trade in I would get a really good deal. Hike up on the msrp are a little steep.

@ Cdw4n
: Not sure if you saw
@ dmgnwk
post right before yours. But, he shared a 2020 4Runner TRDP (Super White) that is at a dealership in Napa, CA. This listing has actual photos of the outside and inside of the vehicle. I checked out the VIN in the Toyota Owners app and the add on's were predator steps and the blackout overlay emblem.
Based on these photos, it's safe to assume that dual climate and the TRD cat-back side exhaust is standard on the TRDP's. These two options were not stated anywhere on the toyota owners app and the spec sheet that you can view from it.
Mine should be here 9/17 - 9/23. I'll definitely share photos as soon as I get it. I do have to travel for work on 9/18-9/19, so I might not pick it up until the weekend if it does get there on 9/18 or before.
Link again to the dealership with the 2020 on the lot:

Paid the same and have 17k to date. Basically could sell/trade in and have had driven a free truck for 2 years.
We “older pro” owners who paid msrp VS. “ new pro” who are already getting $ off or msrp tell me they jacked the price way to high. Toyota probably saw dealers asking 5K+ on the pros and wanted it to themselves!
I’d also bet record # of pros built this year too.

I did miss that post! Thank you for pointing it out and mentioning me! Also awesome to know that the exhaust is stock as there hasn’t been much mention on it as an add on feature or on spec sheets.

Same situation for me, got my 17 below MSRP and the biggest things I wanted which are creature comforts for me (Carplay, TSS, and the keyless entry) really make we want to upgrade. But, if RusPro17 is like me he has the Cement Pro and the Green does nothing for me.
My ending thought has been to just keep a great Cement Pro with all the work I have done than to upgrade back to a stock Pro in white or black.

Looks Great!
Guess we didn't luck out and get the upgraded turn signal mirrors.

I noticed that, too, about the mirror signals...or lack thereof.
This release is getting more and more confusing as to what's on the vehicles and what's not...dealers know little to nothing about them...guess we won't really know until people start taking delivery.
