Port Installed Options

Looking at the YouTube Video....

Interesting to see the optional installed options:
XF210: Paint Protection
LL100: LED Illumination
CS101: Phone and Cable Package

Aren't the LEDs and USB ports standard?

He posted a shorter Video of just the 2020 Army Green TRD Pro.

YouTube

At about 5:45 min, he shows the window sticker. I grabbed a few screen shots. For the person asking about floor mats, all weather floor liners come standard now. It also clearly has the side exit exhaust everyone has been talking about, but window sticker makes no mention of it? Softex seats all around remain, thankfully. There was once a rumor the fronts would go to real leather. My question is what is with this LED Illumination Package? I haven't heard of it before, and it is not on Toyota's website.

That's bad@ss, the Army Green seems to have the same slightly muted color saturation as the Cavalry Blue had!

Can't wait to see one in person!

I don't see the LED package on the Toyota site either, but if you go to SE Toyota's 4Runner Build page you'll see it as an accessory. Looks like the exterior illumination is where the running boards would go.

That LED package is some BS regional or dealer thing and $440 is a ripoff, that is less than $55 in sylvania or phillips bulbs and whatever harness/kit they picked up off carid/similar. Curious what they are using. Same with charging $200 for some junk USB option and a couple $19 cables (MSRP they're probably $3 knockoffs, since they're "red"). So $600 for what takes an hour to install $60 worth of parts. Really, it's were they make their extra bucks off you.

oh and those "step bars" you can get real armor (ie sliders w/steps) for that price.

Man order your truck direct and skip all that nonsense.

Gotta' love those tricky attempts by dealers to conceal crazy crap they do with insane markups and use the sticker to make it look standard or put there by Toyota. I did the same "led package" to my car for $30 paid to Amazon. Also my puddle lamps are real under the side mirrors thanks to @Old Red .

It slays me how many buyers are oblivious to these things no matter how brazen they are including the highest form of highway robbery --- "Market Adjustment" which is an arbitrary BS way for the sales manager at the dealer to rape unwitting customers making an emotional buying decision under pressure. My favorite was a dealer I looked at when buying my Pro (not the one I bought from but another local dealer) who put a $5k market adjustment, $1k for edge guards that could be done for $100 at a trim shop and $500 for "Pulse" technology." When I Googled "Pulse Technology" I got a webpage touting the benefits of a resistor that makes your break lights blink four times before going solid to avoid being rear ended. Uhhm OK, but when I clicked on the YouTube hit for the same thing it was ironically a training video by the "pulse" manufacturer telling dealers how to sell this to customers and describing the opportunity to have a 500% profit margin! Really? I walked and found a dealer who didn't play those bullshit games and so should all of you.

And dealing with all of this is before you are made to deal with the REAL top shark of a sales manager (aka the finance manager) whose MO it is to make you feel like you're done with the negotiation designed to maximize dealer profits when you are actually just beginning! Copngrats on your purchase! now how about protecting that $50k rig with an "extended warranty" (i.e. not a warranty from the factory but an overpriced insurance policy like the dealer insurance sucker bet in Black Jack)… or how about space age sealants and interior protectants (aka a cheap rattle can of crap that some untrained dealer employee srays all over your new rig in and out vs. the trim shops who actually use good products and are skilled at applying them BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THEY DO). These sort of high pressure tactics with the finance manager pretending to be "your friend" and "looking out for you" should be outlawed. In healthcare where I work, our practice is require to inform patients when we have a financial benefit derived from tests or studies we order AND provide patients with alternative sources where they can get the same services so their decision can be better informed. Why shouldn't this apply to dealers as well?

In the end I've said it many times before as have many other here... Have your financing lined up and don't rely on the dealer to work out a "good deal" on financing or a trade (you should really take the energy to sell your old rig yourself unless you have so much money you don't care about throwing it away). Say NO to anything not put on the rig by TOYOTA and say NO to anything the finance manager is offering. Don't let them yank your chain!

Cheers - JC

So true. Thought I'd avoid the high pressure dog and pony show by paying cash when I purchased in Feb. No sir. 45 minutes of baloney when all I wanted was to GTFO and enjoy my new truck.

Only word Iíve heard is no. But thatís not the word anyone in here wants to hear.

So even if no is the only word thatís true, it will be rejected by those hoping to hear otherwise. My no will be interrogated and verification demanded. Anyone with a yes will concurred with sight unseen. Thatís just how we do.
