So true. Then when it fails the ford dealer ends up ripping your fairly new vehicle apart to access the multiple keyless entry antennas! Hurray!

If you had to pay for that to be done its expensive considering its unnecessary and your interior is being taken down for this crap and as fast as they can because it's a scheduled time limit job! Image the costs on bmw or MB

I'm happy for the refresh. Means you can buy the new infotainment unit and not need some aftermarket one that doesn't look factory for Android Auto and CarPlay

I've been lurking on the site for a while but this is my first post. I am in the market for a new SUV but haven't pulled the trigger. I am coming from an '09 Acura MDX and there wasn't enough in the current 4runners to make me want to purchase. The 4runner has more off road capabilities but in essence its the same vehicle I have now. I would basically be switching for bluetooth audio and navigation in a TRD ORP. The 2020 "refresh" has added enough widgets that I am all in. We have a '18 Odyssey and I love the keyless entry and push button start as well as Apple CarPlay. Combine that with the looks and solid reliability of the 4R I am going to be jumping in. Possibly to the Pro trim.

At what point will we all start to realize Toyota is not in it to serve the offroad community. A trd pro sequoia, really? A brand new trd pro that the most notable change is the color green. What a disappointment. Do better TRD.

This makes me sad about the future of TRD. I'm just going to leave this here:

I really do not see an issue with a RAV4 off road.

Dealer scan tools can check and diagnose antennas without removing them all, as well as using a meter at the Certification ECU.

If it weren't just a regular Rav4 with appearance package I'd probably agree. I actually think the RAV has some limited potential given the torque vectoring system. But it's not an offroader and it discredits any market power the TRD OR name had. The "adventure" trim was more appropriate IMO. The whole point of having a trim level is that it indicates a certain level of components and functionality. For example if a Limited 4Runner had cloth seats and no extra features it would be a problem because "limited" in toyota trim has a certain meaning. For Toyota TRD OR has always meant rear locker as a minimum. Then the Tundra had less, now the Rav has basically nothing functional with the same badge. Ultimately: TRD OR now means nothing.

What I'd love to see is the Lexus drive train in a softroader. The Rav4 size with the IS200T AWD drive train would be a legit offroad crossover. It's a completely different drive train though. And having double wishbone or a-arm suspension on both ends is IMO a basic requirement for any type of suspension upgrades or significant suspension travel range.

For those that have never used Car Play and the Android version, all I can say is that it is really awesome. I’m sure Toyota will be using the wired version instead of the newer better wireless but it’s still great.

Alpine | iLX-F309FRN

It stands off the dash, but it really does have an OEM flair to it, and fills the spot pretty nicely.
I would buy this immediately if you could get it in the current black dash color. Maybe add some ran mount balls in the open space.
