True enough. I'm just curious as to whether or not we're in an awkward in-between phase during which dealers, themselves, cannot swap out a non-pro grille with a pro grille.

I hope to be shopping in November and was going to have my dealer swap out ORP grille and valances for Pro versions. Was hoping that that would not be too heavy of a lift. But maybe it is.

I reached out to C4 and was bummed to learn that the Lo Pro Bumper with either the low or mid bull bar will interfere with the TSS-P system. I hope they are able to create a design that works in the near future.

Alternatively, they offer a Lo Pro Bumper without a bull bar which I am not yet crazy about. Anyone have thoughts? The attached video shows installation and a final product.

I think your wrong. The 20202 will definitely have at least one LED headlight, hopefully the drivers side!

I think by that time, they will finally add blind spot monitoring too.

So I just got off the phone with my dealer and I feel like they might be playin me...

I requested a cargo sliding tray a month ago and they just now got back to me and my sales guy said it is essentially impossible to get a sliding tray for a TRD pro. He said they can’t request one from Toyota and only 5% of all TRDs come with it so it would only be chance I get one and it is likely I’d be waiting forever. I then asked if he could just take one off another one on the lot and put it on and he said out of the 150 4runners they have on the lot right now they don’t have ANY with a sliding cargo tray.

Ultimately it’s not a deal breaker but I have a hard time believing what he’s saying and the last thing I want is to work with a dealer that isn’t honest. I also feel like they are sliding me down the list without saying but that is a whole other story.

Anyone hear anything from their dealers around this?

That's nonsense. My build sheet has one on it that I've requested they not actually install when it arrives port side.

The Sliding Cargo Deck is a Factory installed option. You can get it ordered like that if you want to wait. To my knowledge, the sliding cargo deck doesn't get installed at port. Only the true bolt-ons are added at port (e.g. The TRD Pro badging, exhaust, TRD wheels, roof rack, and port options like emblem kit, predator steps, etc.

Once it leaves the factory in Japan, it's too late to get the sliding cargo added. You can, but likely not at the dealer.... you'd have go through the hassle of buying the parts needed and installing it yourself.

@violane : Since you have your price sheet, you can use the VIN# there and enter it on your Toyota Owners profile online or through the app. From there, view the vehicle specs and it will show you that the cargo deck is a Factory option.

Aren't the sliding rear cargo deck regional things? Some places around the country put it on everyone, but other regions don't get it at all? I just "built" one online based on my zip in OKC and it is avaiable on the "packages" page with running boards.

some dealers may just have decided though to order them all without it. If you "ordered" one though and your region allows you to have that option, you should be able to get it. Call and check a competing dealer and see.

Oh that's fun, my dealer said something along the lines of "We'll make sure that doesn't get installed".

It's funny how much people here on the forums know more than the sales guys at the dealership. The sales guy that helped me was amazed that I knew everything about the 2020's and what came standard on the different trims. lol
