I requested a cargo sliding tray a month ago and they just now got back to me and my sales guy said it is essentially impossible to get a sliding tray for a TRD pro. He said they can’t request one from Toyota and only 5% of all TRDs come with it so it would only be chance I get one and it is likely I’d be waiting forever. I then asked if he could just take one off another one on the lot and put it on and he said out of the 150 4runners they have on the lot right now they don’t have ANY with a sliding cargo tray.
Ultimately it’s not a deal breaker but I have a hard time believing what he’s saying and the last thing I want is to work with a dealer that isn’t honest. I also feel like they are sliding me down the list without saying but that is a whole other story.
Anyone hear anything from their dealers around this?

The Sliding Cargo Deck is a Factory installed option. You can get it ordered like that if you want to wait. To my knowledge, the sliding cargo deck doesn't get installed at port. Only the true bolt-ons are added at port (e.g. The TRD Pro badging, exhaust, TRD wheels, roof rack, and port options like emblem kit, predator steps, etc.
Once it leaves the factory in Japan, it's too late to get the sliding cargo added. You can, but likely not at the dealer.... you'd have go through the hassle of buying the parts needed and installing it yourself.

: Since you have your price sheet, you can use the VIN# there and enter it on your Toyota Owners profile online or through the app. From there, view the vehicle specs and it will show you that the cargo deck is a Factory option.
