Satellite radio sounds the best, followed by CarPlay audio, and lastly Bluetooth audio - which is absolutely awful.

Small price to pay to have such an amazingly capable SUV.
OE Audio+. its $2k but plug and play then audio nirvana. If you are not flipping your pro for a new one every other year and instead truly plan to keep and drive it for a decade or more, that math isn't bad in exchange for great audio enjoyment.

2020 sound system

I don't have the sub, but my ipod sounds fine. Not looking for an emotional experience, just some decent sound while driving. My door speakers don't rattle or anything, and this new unit is nice. Changed the background to a nice red. Only my 2 cents. The JBL can't be worse...can it?

of course the pic loads this way

Got my 2020 Army Green last week for $1000 under MSRP.

This week it got a Burtman Industries 2/1.5 level and 285's and a Prinsu Rack on the way.

Amazing! Congrats. The level looks great too, and I assume they're just spacers on the stock Fox suspension?

Also, must be nice to be in texas where they actually discount these things. Over here in LA, I've been quoted $10K markup over MSRP for one

Yes sir, its just the spacers, but haven't noticed any change in ride quality.

And i'm actually in Huntsville, AL. I can see where you'd think Texas though with Nasa being in Houston. They also have a huge presence here too. As well as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and lots of other missile defense contractors. Hence the nick name of the city being "Rocket City"

I was quoted 6000k over sticker from a dealer in Nashville, so I feel your pain.

I had a local shop do it, cost me $400 with an alignment. I went with 285/70/17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I also have 1.25" Spidertrax spacers that I haven't put on yet, so I didn't want to go super wide with my tires.

May be a stupid question but will adding spacers/lift have any effect on TSS-P?

Haven't had any issues thus far.

A couple more questions
What window tint did you go with? Did you go over the factory back windows?
Did you do any areas with expel?

Looking at that picture, they do look kinda dark. But no, I didn't go over the back but I think I may end up redoing them in the future. I'd definitely like to see them darker.

But my tint guy, who is a close friend, said that the standard 20% is to dark and the 35% is to light to match the rear and the closest thing he's found to match our windows is a ceramic 25%. So its 25% on the 2 side windows and the whole entire front windshield is done in 50%

As for expel, since I travel the interstate a lot, I plan to Xpel the entire front and ceramic coat it.

I’m leaning on having my 2020 Army green the whole front end wrapped and ceramic coated. That is the only area you seem to get chips. But I spoke to the installer and they also do the mirrors and head lights with the front end.

Yep, my installer also said the "kit" is the full front, headlights, mirrors, and also the edges of all doors. But my Pro came with the door edges already done

Ceramic really won't do anything for a rock chip on the freeway regardless of what they tell you. It's mostly like a perma-waxing that last longer than wax. Xpel is a good protection for the front end and works way better than the cheap paper thin crap they put on at port or dealer as part of Toyota's protection film package.

Get your 4runner if possible without any of that crap on it and don't let the dealer's likely untrained staff do Xpel or anything else for you. Take your rig to a reputable auto trim shop and have them apply the Xpel as it will be less expensive and way better application than the dealer. I got my whole Xpel protection (front 30% of hood, lights, hood scoop trim, leading edges of mirrors, door edges, door handle cups) at a local auto trim shop that did a really good job and very happy with it. I also wonder if it would be good to do the leading10% edge of roof above windshield with Xpel as that is also subject to rocks and debris on freeway.

I have often thought of ceramic every time I am taking the extra two hours wax my rig but I would check about whether you should wait until after the Xpel is applied as I am not sure that it is good to have ceramic coat under Xpel vs. just factory paint. You probably will already need a paint correction to go with that ceramic as well.

Isn't it fun pining over your brand new rough and tough off-road rig that is supposed to get dirty and roughed up yet you are deciding how to keep it as close to showroom finish as possible?

Cheers - JC

I would get that cheap paper thin Toyota crap off the door edges and anywhere else and have it replaced with Xpel since you are doing rest with Xpel anyway.

Cheers - JC
