Buy proper aftermarket stereo. Kenwood 9905 is good. With mitra black trim looks very slick and sounds great.

It will be close. Cement is still considered “GOAT” color.

8” screen!? I’ll admit, a bigger screen would be great. I’m also curious about that exhaust.

Ryan
You think push button start will be on the 4runner off roads as well , or only on the pros im guessing?
And are you saying 2021 re-design , will mean available to order 3rd quarter of 2020?

The only person who I've heard say it's 2021 is that one guy from Youtube that's been linked here a couple days ago. Everyone else has said MY2023, how are you so sure?

I think you are supposed to make sarcasm green.
Some of these things are long overdue. I figured they would wait for the 6th gen, so I wonder what these changes mean for timing of that (is this a way to delay even more).
Definitely a lot of cool features between all the different model lines. I really wanted TSS (love the features on my wifes car), but not sure about that big grill sensor (although its probably better in case of lift), it will be in the way of many mods.
It felt like green had to be next, this is going to be sexy, especially after that rough voodoo. Wish they would have learned about the rack though.

The Sequoia gets a version of the upgraded infotainment system with a 7.0-inch touchscreen, however. Tacoma and 4Runner receive a few exterior updates, and push-button start is now standard across the TRD Pro lineup.

I really hope the 7" Sequoia infotainment system is plug n play with our 4Runners. That would be epic. Fingers crossed.

I’m just hoping I’ll be able to somehow retrofit the new car play setup into my ‘19. Not the biggest fan of the way the aftermarket ones look without the buttons and all that space on the sides.

I wonder if the inclusion of TSS means the screen in the instrument cluster has been updated too or if they reprogrammed the existing one to display any information needed. Even the standard screen Toyota has been including in their other models for years would be a huge upgrade.

Does TSS include blind spot monitoring? That's the only safety feature I would be interested in.

Does not appear to.

I just emailed the Toyota PR team and asked if there would be a broader release for the 2020 4Runner with images of the new interior. I work in the industry so I expect I'll get some type of response - I'll share it when I do.
2021 is not the 6th gen.
Otherwise, I was really hoping for a little more. There are little things they could do, like LED headlights, that would make it more appealing... and they chose not to. Adding Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Alexa and TSS-P are nice features, but I'm not sure they are enough to carry this thing into 2020 and beyond.
If I am not mistaken, the reason that the 4Runner and GX have gone without TSS-P for so long is that the system requires electronic power steering while the twins still have hydraulic. One of the reasons I asked Toyota if there would be a broader release is that I'm curious if they had to re-engineer the power steering system to accommodate TSS-P or if they found some other work around.
If there was a powertrain update, I would have already contacted my dealer this morning. However, without that, I don't see much reason to change just for infotainment and driving aids. I originally bought the Limited because I wanted JBL audio, sunroof, push button start and ventilated seats... now you can get 3 of those 4 things on the Pro. Figures.
...There's still 5% of me that's thinking about trading mine in and doing an Army Green TRD Pro build...
