Well the msrp for the 2018 4 Runner limited 5 places in Canada with destination, tire taxes, A/C taxes is 53010$ on which you have to add sales taxes and documents fees. So in my case i had to pay 43000$ + documents fees and sales taxes.

Congrats on the 2019. I’m going with the 2020, if only to have at least a little bit of differentiation from my 2015. Otherwise, it’ll be exactly the same, down to the exterior and interior color.

I had the passenger airbag recall done yesterday; when I picked it up, it was parked next to an identical 2019. Other than the license plates and my 2015 having more miles, you wouldn’t have been able to tell the two apart. The lack of changes is one reason why I haven’t had the “new car” itch, so I should probably be thanking Toyota.

I agree that the “Keep it Wild” savings may go away. I don’t believe “Keep it Wild” applied to the TRD Pro, so that may also explain the TRD Pro’s more significant increase (other than the additional features). With the other trims, the real increase will be the MSRP increase + the loss of the Keep it Wild discount (assuming they eliminate it in 2020).

CarPlay and TSS-P aren’t a real big deal for me personally, so it was an easy choice.

I was also in a minor accident last year and my car has had this strange popping noise in the front end ever since that the dealer can’t fix. My warranty ends 11/30 and I didn’t want to keep the car outside of the warranty period fearing something might have been wrong or damaged with the XREAS.

Buying a 2019 gives me time to wait for a 6th gen refresh somewhere around 2024-2025.
Solid... I mentioned it earlier, but I hated the TSS stuff. And I ended up swapping out the entire stereo anyways so the only benefit to me was that little gauge cluster getting upgraded. I think you did well! Let the modding begin!

2020 Build Sheet?

Anyone get a build sheet yet?

I got a preliminary one with my VIN #. Build sheet had blacked out emblems ($160) and door edge guards ($79). I told the dealer to remove both. Odd thing is that the build sheet doesn’t say anything about the TRD cat back side exhaust, but his system shows it as a PTO, port side option. He couldn’t provide a cost though and he also said that he thought all TRD pros had the new exhaust.

Vehicle is being built right now and scheduled to leave Japan this Thursday, 8/8. Estimated arrival at port was either 8/20 or 8/28. I was too excited and can’t remember what he said. But he said I should have it in September.

I blacked out my dealer info so people don’t bombard my dealer with inquiries. They’ve basically had my money since January 2019 when I originally put my deposit down for a 2019 TRD Pro. Cancelled the 2019 as soon as info came out in February about the army green.

Sounds like your dealer is pretty awesome, that's nice transparency. I'm not expecting to hear from my dealer until the vehicle is at the port, which may be September/October or later.

Do you know if sunroof comes standard on TRDP’s for 2020?

It didn't call out the sunroof anywhere on the build sheet. But, my guess is that it's standard on all TRDP's like last year's 2019's TRDP's.

Everywhere that I've seen/read from articles to The Fast Lane 20202 TRD Pros in Moab video showed it. And the sunroof is even clearly visible on the 2020 4Runner Press Release photos: 2020 Toyota 4Runner - Toyota USA Newsroom

I wonder why the MPG on the Pro went down for 2020. From 17/20 to 16/19 according to that window sticker.

Yeah, not sure it's accurate. When I was chatting with my dealer he said that there's still info that's not showing up - like the total MSRP. The cat-back side TRD exhaust and sunroof don't show up either and those I believe are standard.

just curious, not trying to kick the hornet's nest here but what happens if it didn't come with those options that you are assuming is standard, are you still obligated to buy it?

Something I like about the Audio system:

This device supports high-resolution sound sources.
The definition of high-resolution
is based on the standards of
groups such as the CTA (Consumer Technology Association).
Supported formats and playable media are as follows.
■ Supported formats
WAV, FLAC, ALAC, OGG Vorbis
■ Playable media
USB memory

What I am annoyed about is they didn't include the Inclinometer that is available in the Taco

■ Multi-terrain Select display* (if equipped)
P. 314
■ Crawl Control display* (if equipped)
P. 311
■ Outside temperature display
Displays the outside temperature
The temperature range that can be displayed is from -40 °F (-40 °C) to
122 °F (50 °C).
When the outside temperature drops below 37 °F (3 °C), will
flash approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.

I don’t think all the info is out there to Toyota dealers. He said he could add port-side options up until the day before it hits the port. The cat back side exhaust is showing as an available port option with $0 costs??

Doubt you’d be obligated to buy it. I had a 2019 built this year when I put a down payment in January. It arrived in March, but a month earlier (February), I told my dealer to cancel the order and apply it to a 2020 TRDP. They won’t have any issues trying to sell Pro.

My guess would be because real world MPGs are more like 14 to 16 MPG around town and 17-18 highway...

I could be totally wrong though.
