Isn’t that a financial decision you would have to make?

Army Green is pretty cool looking.
I don't get radar cruise. Had it on my Mazda 6 and turned it off. Maybe it's just an Ohio thing, but people here love to go around you on the 4 lane then slow down. With it turned on you end up going 3-10 MPH slower than you want when all you'd need to do is pass the jerk again.
What do all you guys do that need more tech? I get in my vehicle turn on AM radio or stream Tidal from my phone and drive from point A to point B. The only thing I do is turn the volume up or down and answer the occasional phone call. Occasionally use the nav, which is pretty good.

Not trying to be mean-spirited here... can someone explain the fanatical preoccupation with push button start? Does this feature do something more than just make it so you don’t have to turn a key? What am I missing?

its pretty nice once you've used it. keys never have to come outta the pocket. or they can hide in a cubby in the car somewhere.

You keep the keys/fob in your pocket the whole time, no fumbling with keys. Walk up grab handle and door locks or unlocks, get in push a button to go.
I like my PTS. All manufacturers are slowly going away from traditional keys. Soon the vehicle will just recognize its you.

Many of us with other vehicles have completely dropped the habit of EVER taking the key out of our pocket or purse. It’s ones of those once you have it you’ll never go back things.

It's super fun when it fails and the car cannot detect the key. Or when your swapping drivers to go in a store and the other person has the keys!
If you check Toyota's Facebook or Instagram posts its filled with people, mostly 20 something's that cant even afford a car but demand more tech. Some posts imply they trade cars because entune isn't any good or that another make has more tech.
I'm tech savvy, I had iPhone at launch and my wife had the first android but in the car I could care less and we drive 600 miles a week each. Reality is people want this tech but they never use it.

My 2008 lancer evolution mr had it but it didnt change my life. Bluetooth did though along with streaming audio.
I also have access to so many vehicles I cant keep track of what side the gas door is on and most start with a key. If you only use the same car everyday I can see that.

Its clear Toyota only did this for marketing the fact that toyota now has a full line of standard toyota safety sense. Fact is the displays are still old and way out of date. It's hardly worth updating an old model when a 6th gen is around the corner, upgrade it for one year?

Pretty sure the 6th gen is going to be MY2023 so this upgrade is for three model years.

Man a 5 speed auto in 2022? Crazy that I bought it in 2007, 2014 and in 2019.

Push button start isn’t the deal maker. Proximity lock and unlock with kids is amazing. No more fishing for keys while you are keeping hold of the kid’s hand in the parking lot. It isn’t a big thing but it is one less thing to mess with. I also love it for biking because I can pack it safety in my camelbak while getting ready to go out and ride. Super annoying to pack the keys away, hop on the bike, and realize I forgot something so I have to fish them back out of the secure pockets on my backpack — wouldn’t want to lose my keys in the woods if I had a wreck, after all.
