They really ought make a TRD Pro Cruiser. My dealer told me our truck was scheduled to hit the port yesterday. I wonder if I got in first allocation or not. They still anticipate delivery maybe end of the month.

Will do! My ORP has already arrived at port so they can’t attempt the skid plate install until it arrives at the dealership (Carlsbad CA), estimated mid- to late-September

Hey Snowpeak, I am here in SD as well, looking to grab an ORP myself. Have you negotiated a price yet on your ORP? I am working with a couple of dealers, all of which have been pretty lame as we have all experienced. I am considering going up to LA/OC or even AZ to grab one, depending on what kind of pricing we get here in SD.
Thanks for any info

I have not negotiated on price yet. I shopped around for dealers and like Carlsbad. Have you spoken with them yet? So far I’ve worked with 5 different sales guys over two months including the manager. All have been very helpful and friendly. One sales guy lives in Alpine and commutes an hour and a half each way past two other Toyota dealerships specifically for this location. He loves working for this owner and the people there. He tells me they don’t go above MSRP (owner doesn’t believe in that tactic) but they typically do addendums on OR and above trims unless told otherwise. Given all that, if I can get close to invoice price, I wouldn’t mind paying a little more to work with this dealership.

That's great advice, thank you. I have spoken with Kearny, Mossy, El Cajon, and Cerritos up in OC/LA. I will be giving Carlsbad a call this weekend for sure.
Kearny the "Costco" dealer has told me twice, by 2 different sales reps that I am 2-3 months out, as of last week, which tells me they really don't know or could care less since I am not coming in this weekend to take one home. I have rec'd a couple of pricing sheets with the pricing breakdown for a specific car they have on delivery - so I have the MSRP's on a couple, but not the right color yet. If you can get close to invoice, that would be great.

The LC is more vehicle then I need in terms of size and the full use of its capabilities. I had a a Cement 4R and loved it and feel it is the right size for my daily driver. If I still had little kids and did more off roading I would keep it.
Will be listing LC soon over on MUD

PM me! I’m looking and not afraid to fly and buy. Flew from San Diego and drove back to get my pro. I’m now in Austin.
What you said is my life. I have little ones and would rather have the increased seating and safety. Not to mention all of the upgrades

The multitude of mistakes, errors, changes, whatever that are on the Toyota website is beginning to make me question what is really available on the 2020s. They list mirrors w/turn signals for the PRO, but no push button start on the ORP and no touchless entry system.
In my region I can't build the ORP version I want (w/KDSS and moonroof) - I am forced to pick one or the other...and yet I was able to build a 19 exactly that way.
Perhaps it's just a glitch in the configuration system, but why so many glaring differences in equipment?
I'm beginning to believe that what I ordered a few months back will not be what is delivered...
Toyota has really, really dropped the ball on this one and don't seem to be too concerned about it.

Don't worry about push button start, the ORP has it. The website is a mess right now.
"The SR5 Premium and TRD Off-Road Premium provides a significant comfort upgrade with SofTex®-trimmed seats, heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and the addition of the Smart Key system with Push Button Start. "
TRD Off-Road Premium 4x4 (In addition to or in place of TRD Off-Road standard features)
• Color-keyed front and rear bumpers with silver accents, door handles, heated power
outside mirrors with turn signal indicators and puddle lights, overfenders, side rocker
panels, hood scoop, and rear spoiler; and black-painted roof rails with black end caps
• Smart Key with push-button start
• Power tilt/slide moonroof with sunshade (not available on TRD Off-Road)
What I believe the ORP doesn't have is the "Smart Key System with Push Button Start and remote illuminated entry"

I am in San Diego and I am thinking of retiring in the Fort Collins / Loveland area. I figured I would get the 2020 TRD ORP and then make the move in a year or two.

I'm in Fort Collins, only been here a year, one year in Loveland before that. I really like it, though i'd rather be in the mountains.

Funny - last weekend I test drove a 4R TRD Pro back to back with a new LC. I've been waiting on an Army Green I have a deposit on, but always wanted a LC. Going into it, I REALLY wanted to like the Land Cruiser more (and would have considered changing my order), but I just didn't. It was super solid, very quiet, nicely built, decent power. But, for me it was also too floaty, too big, and honestly lacked some of the character that i think the smaller and slightly more nimble 4R felt. If I was moving a large family around or lots of long road trips, the LC might be my choice.
