2018 SR5 - Random beep when put in reverse

Found some old threads on the interwebs related to random beeping when the tranny is put in reverse, mostly on Tacos and nothing that sounded like what I'm experiencing.

The beep happens at completely random times but only when putting the tranny in reverse and only one beep...hadn't heard it for a while, then the other day when I put it in reverse I did. It's not very loud and I don't have the parking sensors so I'm not sure what it could be..thoughts?

If I recall it has something to do with either the ABS or traction control..when you put the tranny in reverse and quickly let off the brake it would beep, but to be honest I haven't noticed it for some time.

probably the traction control, it will also happen if you shift from reverse to drive too quick

If you don't come to a full stop going from reverse to drive sometimes it will do it and a dash light will pop up for a second. Don't know about going from drive to reverse maybe it's the same result.

Also it can do it if you touch the gas when going into "D" from "R" and the transmission isn't quite ready, if that makes any sense.

Or some combo of those things. If I take my time and come to a full stop going from D to R or R to D it, and give it a second before giving it gas it never does it.

Also check to make sure the back hatch. My hatch was closed but not latched once and a beep briefly sounded backing out of the driveway.

so i found out that its not my rear hatch and its my E-Brake not fully disengaging. I have to floor the pedal quite hard and the single beep disappears. Wondering if there's something wrong with my ABS?

My 19 with 7,500 miles did this this morning. I was easily able to replicate it as it happened after doing something i don't normally do.

Reversing out of the garage and into the street, i didn't come to a complete stop with the brakes. Foot off the brake and threw it in drive while barely rolling rearward. A single beep and the ABS light flashes on the dash at the same time.

I did it two more times and its easy to replicate. Not sure if it means the vehicle has applied the brakes to allow the drive train to reverse motion or what.
