5th Gen Antirock front sway bar?

So, im working on a Currie Antirock rear sway bar. I know that’s noting too out of the ordinary and All Pro even sells a kit. But, I’ve been seriously looking at doing the front as well. I’ve yet to see that and I’m wounding if there is something I’m missing. I’ve been screwing around with building it in my mind and have even started to mock up an arm. Any thoughts or insight?

There is a straight shot for the tube, along the plane of the frame.

Doesn’t seem to be that crazy, just a few bends.

I’d need to bend the bar to clear the tie rod. But, like is said, seems fairly straightforward.

I like the idea! On sidenote, having the same Kings, and RCI skids i HATED how much ground clearance I lost with those spacers that drop EVERYTHING down. I took out those steel S curved bars gained back 1-2" of clearance in the middle there. Anyone else do that? My stock sway arm was basically sitting on those, they had to go.

Yes, my sway bar knocked those supports with both setups that I’ve had. I used those spacers with the Kings, but only because I didn’t want to address it at that time. I have every intention of making new ones and brining that skid up as far as I can.

Did you completely remove yours?

My 4Runner never even had those. Which is fine because 4X4 LABS made me a nice custom front skid.

I didn’t know that. Now that I’m thinking about it, that makes sense. Maybe I’ll just look into ditching them all together.

Keep in mind there’s a number of compankes that make universal torsion bar sway bars, if you need lengths or arm shapes that Currie doesn’t make.

Maybe I missed it, but what’s the motivation here? Are you going long travel?

Sure did. Completely removed the 2 S Curve Bars. The RCI skid DOES use a bolt hole on them so You have to drill two new bolt holes in your skid. No biggie. Takes the skid off those stupid spacers on the front and bolts it flat and flush up to the cross bar at the very front. Easily 2" of center clearance gained.
