If you go that path, PM me please. I have an open PM to XD as well for a potential sale of a returned set. Coming from Audi Bixenons, the Morimoto LED low beams aren't cutting it.

Guys - sorry for any confusion here - but for the reasons we explained earlier, there are currently no intentions (that we are aware of) to release any "updated" version of the lights with a different light output. The launch inventory represents the finalized product, and as soon as more inventory arrives, they will all share the exact same beam pattern. Those lights are already in full production & will be shipped to us in the next couple weeks. It would take many months to completely overhaul the optics used inside the headlights between the engineering & tooling. While some customers have voiced complaints about the foreground light, it's only about 10% of the current user base, not nearly enough to warrant an overhaul like that.

Just 10%? That seems low based on the number of customers that have stated they have returned their headlights both here and on other forums.
There has been rumor that a fix for the issues of these lights is in the works, thanks for confirming that isn't the case.

So only 10% of users voiced complaints seems like more than that to me.Glad I wasn't a thousand dollar plus test dummy for these.

XD/Morimoto could be the only company I've ever heard of that thinks a 10% initial rejection rate is perfectly reasonable.
Most companies would be losing their mind getting a proper fix in place ASAFP if they had that kind of failure on their hands

There were only a handful of regulars throughout this thread expressing interest yet they sold out of the initial run in a few hours so I'm assuming they had a good amount of buyers that don't exist on t4r.org
I believe it's the typical internet phenomenon of only the upset people posting their opinions and the happy people getting on with their day. It seems like a majority on the internet when it's really just an incredibly vocal minority.

Sure, and I certainly understand that. Through this forum and another there are 10 people that have said they sent theirs back. That's over 10%.
It really doesn't matter to me. Based on what I have read I have no intentions of buying these, just pointing out that 10% (while pretty high percentage) seems quite low based on internet grumblings and personal stories that have been shared. I'll save my money and upgrade my lights (when the time comes) from Kustom54 or Lightwerkz.

Definitely not.
I'm concerned with both output and aesthetics and I'm happy with them.
I've never had drop-in HIDs because I think they cause unnecessary risk so, in my case, I'm comparing to OEM halogens. And relative to OEM halogens, they are undoubtedly a significant upgrade in light output and overall performance. I've yet to see any downside to them whatsoever. But that's just my own anecdata.

I care.... They need fog lights in my mind to supplement them. I cant see anything over my hood anyway with the scoop that close to the truck.

If >10% of the lights were physically failing, DOA, etc - that would be a nightmare, no question. In this case, we're looking at user preference and if the majority of owners are happy, thats what counts.
The lights could get a full optics overhaul and maybe the ones who weren't impressed this time around would be happy, but those who were satisfied wouldn't be.
In any case, the feedback has been passed on because it matters to us, and IF something can be done to deliver the best of both worlds, we'll do what we can!
That said, to those of you who purchased from us...you are OUR customer, and if you're simply not as impressed as you hoped to be, we're happy to take the lights back, offer a full refund, cover shipping, do whatever need be for you.

Hopefully you get a few returns. I'd definitely be interested in picking up a set.

Meeee tooooo. I just would like to try them out. I have met one guy that hated his, and has since sold his locally to another guy. The new owner loves them apparently.
