Soooo...I'm thinking I should wait for all you "beta testers" to work the bugs out before I order these for my '20 Pro?

I got my lights, perfect and easy install, no issues at all.
I am not finding any bugs.
HUGE upgrade from stock.

It's mainly people with 2020's since something has changed.
I get that they're upset, but unfortunately the headlights were developed for 2019 and earlier and I doubt Morimoto knew that a change was coming down the pipeline for 2020 that would mess up the compatibility.
Unfortunately, Morimoto and XenonDepot can't work production updates any faster physically since this is a relatively new development with the 2020's not working properly. Sounds like they're trying to resolve it one way or another though, which is about all you can really ask.
Of course, lack of communication can be frustrating as well.

Ah, roger that
I am not in the cool-kids-club of brand new 4runners.
When the bugs get worked out for you fresh 2020s, the product is amazing!

Can't believe I've had these on for over 2 weeks and still haven't managed to run over a curb or pedestrian. I was told it was a certainty.

You haven't made enough right turns on dark country roads where tweakers, small children, and animals pop out from nowhere.

You all know if it happens no one here will admit it. Hope it never happens, just know I had a very close call. Good luck

In looking at the base of the housing, I think the resistor is mounted on the back from the factory. We have two options, either remove the entire headlight and screw the new resistor into the back of the headlight and plug it in, or leave the headlights installed and just unplug the old resistor and plug the new one in - then zip tie the remaining plastic piece somewhere convenient.
I think it just depends on how clean you want it to be, and how little you want to remove the bumper again. I think I'll probably remove the bumper and the headlights - only real pain is the TSS dismantling on the 2020s.

You can actually install the resistor without having to take your headlights out again. But if you want to install the new resistor in place of the old ones, you'll need to remove it. I don't think you'll have enough room to unscrew the two screws.

Lol you're like a moth to a flame, you just can't help yourself. it's kinda sad seeing you run around the forum crying wolf about how dangerous these lights are.

So Xenondepot sent me resistors for my 2020 4Runner. Anyone know where these install? I can’t seem to figure out.

Sounds like according to this, you should be able to locate a similar component on the headlights?
I'm not 100% sure, just inferring from
@ XenonDepot
's post.
Weird they didn't send you any kind of instruction though.

Yeah no instruction, just stickers. The thing that confuses me is if I can plug something into that I feel like there should be something on the other end to continue the connection.
