I like the cargo piece simply for a preset area to attach items securely to. Like Mutant said, I'd like to use the back area of my 4Runner more like a truck bed and this would allow me to do so and would certainly provide an easier surface to clean up. Should I need the rear seats and I know in advance I can always reinstall them.
I like the idea of drawers as well but that forces me into accepting less headroom with the platform and that's at a premium as it is. Lots to consider here.

My plan is to have low profile (in line with the cargo floor) on the 60 split side. On the 40 split side I plan to build a drawer with a fridge slide on top. The single drawer paired with the underfloor storage where the 2nd row used to be should be plenty of storage. Any additional storage needs could easily be added after the fact.
Done heaps of camping and wheeling since I bought the truck to help me figure out what I wanted. My only obstacle is my current budget.

Thanks! This explains what I wanted to know. Glad to see that they used rivnuts for their mounting system and here I thought it was just predrilled holes that you had to fab up some sort of system to get things to stay.

Well I ordered the rear cargo piece to get started, this will allow me to mount my fridge and slide and see first hand the durability and build quality of the product before I commit to the other $900 for the seat areas. I'll report back my thoughts when I receive it, which will likely be weeks from now since they build to order. Thanks for all of the input guys!

You will find the holes and rivnuts are designed for their modular drawer system. I have a Dometic slide and my slide is mounted on a combo of 2 of their rivnuts and 2 of my own drilled holes with rivnuts. I tapped out two rivnuts that I didn't intend to use and reused on my own drilled holes. The durability is certainly there but just some insight on what the holes are for and some possible workarounds.

Hmm, good to know. I was looking to use a Tembo-Tusk fridge slide, I wonder how their foot print compares?

From the looks of the fridge slide, it is possible you can drill the fridge slide to match the holes. I couldn't do that with the Dometic slide.

I went ahead and ordered the entire low sleeping platform. I think its best to keep things simple and light in the 4Runner as it is more easily effected by added weight than our other vehicles. I will pick up some good cases for the rack to store more items when the interior space is at a premium. At the end of the day I felt like our 200/LX 570 would be the better candidate for a drawer system as it can better handle the additional weight and the drawers will be larger and more usable in that vehicle.

Looking forward to this as well. There's a video of the plate system install on youtube, but I can't find one of the whole low platform sleeping system or whatever it's called. I'm interested in knowing how easy it is to remove the sleeping platforms and reinstall the back seats back in just in case I need to tow around extra humans in the 2nd row.

I have the rear plate, 50/50 split 10" drawer system and the 60 side of the 60/40 split sleeping platform. I have been running this for close to a year now. I cannot say enough about the quality. Its top notch. Easy to install. Durable. With a 10" drawer system you do certainly loose headroom. I was able to put a Dometic on a drop down fridge slide without issues on the drawer system. I can place a 26" dog crate on the sleeping platform and it still fits. I removed the seat bottoms and backs to install the sleeping platform on the 60 side as it provides more storage underneath. I hope these pictures help.

Dont get cargo boxes. I designed one myself with them. My medium height dog just fits by a hair without bumping her head on the ceiling when standing. You'll need the clearance you can get since you have larger dogs. Flat platform (no cargo) is the way to go if you have large dogs that will be standing.
