Rear bumper, what would you pick?
I am shopping a rear bumper with swing out tire carrier for my 5th Gen and I would like to hear from those that currently own one of these listed bumpers or from those that are shopping as well and why they would or would not pick a certain bumper. Let's hear it! ***If it's not listed it's likely because I have no interest in it.
* CBI
* Hefty Fab
* C4
* Shrockworks
I'll admit than I am leaning towards Shrockworks simply because they are a local company and their design is simple and keeps the tire and fuel cans low for less rattle, better COG, and better rear visibility. It is not my favorite design of the bunch but those factors combined with a great price ($1999) make for a pretty attractive package.
I had considered 4x4Labs and SSO as well but I am turned off by the looks and price on both. I'll admit that the rear tailgate on the SSO is a neat feature.

I like the Expedition One rear bumper as it keeps the factory hitch.
But out of your list either C4 or Shrockworks

Expo1 is an absolutely horrid company with terrible QC and Pelfrey level customer service, I wouldn't buy from them with your money. It's a shame that they are such a dumpster fire because they make some great looking and good on paper items.

I have a shrockworks rear bumper with the swingout I have no complaints about it so far. I only wish that the spare sat a little bit higher, however that doesn't seem to be an issue with you. It is an older design but it is stout. Even the jerry can holders are very solid, I've caught it off a ledge at moab and it took the weight of the backend without any issues. You'll have to get creative with relocating the rear view camera if you plan on doing so.
I know you said if it's not listed, then you aren't interested. However another good option is Brute Force Fab, they have a rear bumper with dual swingouts that is pretty affordable (relative to the other bumpers). They don't have it listed on the website but if you contact them directly they can give you pricing.

OEM rear bumper and valance
If anyone here is close to the north Dallas, Texas area and is going to upgrade to an aftermarket rear bumper, let me know if you're going to get rid of your OEM trail or pro rear bumper. I'm in the market for one.

I’m in Houston area and am having the C4 bumper installed as I type this. I’ll post some pics when I get it back and would be happy to meet for coffee if you want to see in person and are as local to Shrockworks as I am.

I’ll be going either C4 or SSO. I do like the expedition One...but the poor reviews of customer service gave me second thought. So, in ur above list I vote heavily for C4

They certainly look great! Does it rattle or shake at all?

Not at all. Dead quiet and tire doesn't even wobble a bit
