So I spotted this in NJ today. Has 285s with what appears to be 17x9 +1 wheels. I think a -6 offset is what I'm looking for.

I'm new here. This post has been giving me some great info. I have a chance to get a set up of 275/70r17 fallen wild peaks on a set of 17x8.5 fuel wheels with 4.5 back spacing and a -6 offset? Everything I've seen is for 285s... will that set up work stock without spacers no rubbing? Thanks guys.

The answer is it might. Every vehicle is different, but I would say odds are it will not rub. You won't know until you put them on. If it does rub some, it will be an easy fix (fender liner mod).

Are you using JBA off-road UCAs? What suspension? What mods did you have to do to prevent rubbing? Thanks

Whatever you decide on, make sure the wheels are:

At least 9" wide
Black
Equipped with fake beadlocks
And have a ridiculous offset and backspacing when compared to stock

This seems to be what all the cool kids are doing these days.

I have 285/70r17 with wheel that is 9" and offset at 18mm, leaves me with a backspace of 5.71.

I had to modify the fender liner and take off the mudflap, with that I have zero rub.

Yes i have the JBA arms with caster set at 4 degrees, the suspension is the OME 3" lift with heavy springs up front. I also took off the stock mud flaps as it rubbed ever so slightly in reverse at full lock

any wheel with 4.5'' and an offset of 0 to -12 is going to work if you don't run a spacer. 12 is a 1/4'' each side.......you aren't going to see the difference.

Didn't think it would take me forever to finally get some wheels. I ended up with 17x9 -12. These are just the stock tires for now. I already have UCAs, hoping to get the rest of the lift soon. (Please ignore the trash)

285’s on factory Pro wheels. No rubbing or mods with small Cornfed lift due to the offset.

Close, They were AT2s actually. Loved them and lasted me a long time. When their time was up I ended up getting Falkens for the snow flake rating & aggressive sidewalls. The AT3s were not quite yet when I switched

Best offset to be flush with 285s

I'm running stock Pro wheels w/285's and they sit pretty flush. I took off the spacers because they rubbed and I like the stance of a 4R better when its closer to flush.
