Me too. lol

I thought that's what the morimoto were. Fan noise and vibration from the fan? A bulb with a fan?

to be honest, the H 9 upgrade is worth it. you have to mod the bulb but only a tiny bit and its really easy and inexpensive. I went with Philips. It was $7 for the pair on amazon.

I'm running the XenonDepot Xtreme LED Pros and they're fantastic. Don't have a photo to pull up but they match my Tundra LED fogs perfectly and have nearly the exact same beam pattern as the stock halogens (this is important!) Though they're not as bright as the brightest HID kit you can get I'll take LED over HID any day.

Build quality is great and the indexing ring is a big, big plus because it let me get the diodes lined up right so that my beam pattern stayed the same. Plus the drivers and cabling fit inside the headlight housing without needing to drill anything out.

Sorry if this sounds like a shill post but I was really, really impressed with the XD kit.

Is the H9 upgrade worth it if I am running the Sylvania Silverstar's? Those Silverstar's have a bright "White" light and I was curious if the Phillips H9 bulbs put out a more yellowish type light. The Silverstarts are $25/bulb to replace and get about a year or so out of them. Any help would be great.

I am wanting to get those so badly. I only have one pressing question/concern. Maybe you can help... Is there any danger with stuffing all the wiring and the transformer box thingie behind the dust cover? I have seen a bunch of install videos and only one guy did the stuff method without drilling a hole in the dust cover. I was so stoked to see that option. But I am waiting to pull the trigger because I am curious about the heat dissipator leafs touching the wiring and the anti-flicker module thingie. Do the cooling fins get hot enough to melt the wiring or driver? Thanks for your time.

For high beams is there any worry about LED heat sink/fans being exposed?

I had the same question as you and reached out XD directly. They told me that I should be "fine" stuffing everything behind the dust cover without altering it.

I installed these in my lows and was able to stuff everything behind the dust cover. It was a very tight fit but seems to still be working without issue. They have only been installed for ~2000 miles though.

GE H11 Xenon +120s per the long Tacoma world write up are best drop in option. Wanted to see if anyone had done these in 4Runner here?

Dumb question here.

I just bought a 2013.
It has the whitest, brightest headlites I've ever seen, but does not appear to have a distinct cutoff.

What is the easiest way to determine what bulbs, etc I actually have?

Pull them out and look...nearly impossible to tell just by looking at color.

It looks like the Morimoto H11s have an adapter, would i need it?

Any other suggestions for just a replacement bulb with better output?

This^ - would also like to know.
