Whitest/brightest best quality replacement Headlight bulbs?
Hoping you all can share what you feel is the best replacement headlight bulb for the 4runner. The H11's for the low beams and not sure I will upgrade the highs or not.
I have a '19 pro and with the LED fogs, the regular headlight bulb looks especially yellow when on next to the LED's.
I don't want to mod the headlight housing or have ballasts on the exterior of the headlight just simply the best direct headlight replacement bulb ie Hella, PIAA Sylvania, GE, Silverstars etc. I realize this is opinions but really looking for the best light output upgrade other than the cheap factory OEM bulbs.

I run the Morimoto H11s in my low beams. They are great looks and quality, and everything fits behind the factory dust cover. I also run the 9006 lows and xB fogs. Good luck.

Silverstar ZXE Gold is probably the whitest halogen bulb. I have the previous “whitest” halogens the Silverstar ZXE (not gold). Pretty white but not close to HIDs. Prior I had Silverstar Ultra. Briter than the ZXE but not as white. I’ll try the golds when mine burn out. In any event, premium halogens have a short life. I dont drive at night much so I’m ok with it.

I installed Silverstar Ultra’s and wouldn’t recommend it, they worked greeat in other vehicles but not worth the $$ in these trucks. I’d suggest going HID or LED, it’s echoed around here for good reason.

Hi mswaz,
I've been running the 'OPT-7 HID Kit' since 2016. The price was good @$28 bucks; ...so reasonable, I bought two sets, just in case a bulb or Ballast goes out on the road one night!
I've 'NEVER' been flashed for blinding anyone with these H-11 low-beams... wish I could say that about the LED's I replaced with these, I have those living in my factory fogs now Lol!
Here's a photo (you can't judge the level of brightness from the pix):
They're three years old and I never had a lamp failure, color is 6000k: Ice-blue:
These install in about 30 minutes; only because I was too lazy to remove the battery to make things a bit easier! there's a link (Below) to where I bought them:
OPT7 35w Xenon HID Kit Slim H11 6000K Blue Beam HeadLight Conversion Light | eBay
'Best to you',

There are lots of postings on the low beam and high beam bulb modifications that are quick and easy to get better light output.
Low beam: modify a H9 bulb to fit the OEM H11 holder.
High beam: modify a 9011 bulb to fit the OEM 9005 holder). It works well, I used Philips bulbs. There is a definite light improvement.
Take a look at this thread:
How To: Headlight Bulb Conversion (H11 to H9 & 9005 to 9011)

Im looking for just a brighter bulb than stock white/yellow whatever, reliable and plug and play. It sounds like the Morimoto H11s may do the trick?
It looks like the Morimoto H11s have an adapter, would i need it?
Any other suggestions for just a replacement bulb with better output?

Morimoto lows and highs. Very happy with them. Super easy install. I did the DRL disable mod and just keep my running lights on during the day with the switch back mod on my turn signals so they run white as DRLs and I am not blinding people with high beams with stock DRLs

I am using these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Installation is super easy, not much bigger than standard bulb. They are much
brighter than the standard halogen, though probably nowhere near as bright as HID.

I installed the morimoto in the lows and highs and quickly took them out and returned them the light output was horrendous, maybe I didn't have them aligned properly but I thought I did. The issue was the fan noise and vibration from the fan was really bad. Couldn't stand it long term. Seemed very suspect would love just a standard Halogen bulb replacement that gave me more light output plus a whiter color.
